  1. I currently have Thief 1 & 2 & 3installed in a directory structure like:

    D:\Thief series\Thief 1 - The Dark Project (Gold)\

    D:\Thief series\Thief 2 - The Metal Age\

    D:\Thief series\Thief 3 - Deadly Shadows\

and I really want to be able to install Doom 3 with the Dark Mod project in a directory like:

    D:\Thief series\Thief - The Dark Mod\

I acknowledge it is not technically a thief - blah blah legal jargon, however this is besides the point, I would love to follow this structure, as well as not need a CD. I have legitly purchased Doom 3 As well as every Thief title. I have all thiefs running without CD, and are on a partition that if I format, and reinstall windows, All my thief titles work without reinstalling, and maintain all major settings. However when I do this with the Dark Mod with the Beta levels, this directory structure breaks the mod, as well as if I use a nocd on the Doom3 engine w/ The dark Mod. Can this be remedied, hopefully before launch. I really hope to not have to break my structure if at all possible.

Thanks for the tips, and keep up the great work!

  2. Just as topic above. This is for developers. Based on your intense work and where you currently stand in production. What percent of chance is there in us getting a demo or release of the Dark Mod this year.

    0% being none

    50% meaning coin toss

    100% for sure

anything in between means not either of the above answers but is leaned in a particular direction.

Keep up the great work, I look forward to the rebirth of the Thief scene.

    Thanks,

  3. I would love to help in the developement of this product. I have every thief 1/g/2 mission i have been able to find. I have even purchase the CD from Komag twice. Thief is awesome, how ever I feel Thief 3 was horrible, and do not classify it as Thief 3. The Dark Mod is my Thief 3. I would love to be one of the users to play with your beta in the beginning. I am not a professional modder, but I have always wanted to create my own levels. So I figured I would ask if I may attempt to create some simple levels with your mod during the beta stage. I figure I might as well ask, either way I anticipate your engine, and check your site at least once a week. Keep up a great job, you Taffers.

    Thanks,

  4. Make sure you use the Flesh renderer rather than the Unreal renderer when subtracting brushes with a Radeon. The Flesh renderer is activated by clicking the "ION" button above the 3D viewport (NOT the one on the main toolbar), and you will see that it is active because the rendered view looks like it does in game.

I eventually would love to create maps using the Dark Mod. I have had experience working with Dromed, being a huge fan of Thief 1 & 2. I however would be interested in getting your beta releases of the engine, and I will gladly work on writing an Help Guide, and Users Manual for it if you would like. I can use Adobe Acrobat or what ever format you prefer. Let me know if your interested.

    Thanks

  5. Doom3 Editor is somewhat of a nickname. It's official tag is D3Radiant, or a version of Radiant built specifically for D3.

The only 2 platforms you have to choose from are GTKRadiant or D3Radiant. They're basically the same interface wise, the only difference is that GTK is open source. But GTK still has some catching up to do before it can match D3R in features. Right now it only half supports D3.

I see - Thanks that explains it.
