  1. Tripe is a type of edible offal from the stomachs of various farm animals. You must like tripes. Lol. How about staying on topic :P

Lol you totally didn't even know what tripe meant, had to look it up and used a dictionary definition to try to diss someone who already did know the definition. Perhaps English isn't your native language, which would explain the poor use of it in your post/review/tripe.

A tip: leave the long game reviews to the professionals, who make good use of their language, with good grammar and structure. Everybody refers to them, when they want info. Note that there is no offence intended, but if you want to recommend this hyped game on a game-based forum, visited by mostly gamers, you can usually rest assured that everyone is informed about it, and if not, would appreciate just a simple link to a review and perhaps your (simple, short) opinion. Asking others about the game would probably be more fit for official forums, set up for discussing the game.

Do mind, I am not at all trying to command you, of give you rules. I just like to explain what Springheel's point must have been.

However, now that I see that you have a history of 645 out of 659 posts off-topic, I doubt that my advise will be followed. I also know that, if I'm being like this, I could just as well send you a personal message, but since this topic isn't worth more than my comment/post on it anyway, I'll just leave it here.

PS: Tripe, in the case referred to, means something along the lines of nonsensical writing or utterance. But I'm sure you'd have known that by now.

  2. Thanks for the cool comment and complement.

You may be interested in knowing that in the original draft

there was only Soren's lab and no missing pages part. But it felt a little short and I was thinking what else I could do... And then one night I had a very uneasy nightmare of walking down a hallway in an abandoned building, with these doors that I *really* didn't want to open because I was afraid of what might be behind them... and the farther I walked the more I didn't want to open them, imagining they were getting worse and worse, and sometimes I'd catch just little glipses in my mind's eye! And it was all building up to ... something; I didn't know what, but I was dreading to find out. Iirc, I woke up still feeling shaken up about it, and knew right off this had to be my coup de grâce!

I wanted to create exactly that feeling of increasing dread, so built it pretty much just as I imagined it ... seriously, lay-out and everything. I think a scene coming straight from the uncensored shadows of the psyche must carry more gravitas than one that's been checked over too many times by focus groups and project managers.

That is indeed very interesting, and it explains it all.. Even though I wouldn't have thought of it, because it was so well blended in... I mean.. The murderer was really a main factor in this mission, from the beginning.

Well, however uneasy it was, I'm glad you had the nightmare!

  3. Wow, this had never happened to me in ANY game I played. Didn't startle at F.E.A.R.. Silent Hill never got to me.. Well those are nothing, but name ANY horror game..

When that psycho killer came running out the door I jumped and uncontrollably screamed "NOOOOO" in an apparently horrifying, vocal-cords-breaking voice, as my GF came running, scared shitless. And she's used to some stuff I tell ya. I don't know why, maybe it was the unsettling and awesome build up, with the readables, and then the warehouse... What also helped was, I had just never expected something scripted like that would happen in a mod like this. Shows what you can do with it, and this is only the beginning of the stream of missions. Damn, I tell you, this never happens, and I played some f*cking scary games. Oh, BTW, awesome with the snail in the coffin.

Anyway, all in all I feel like this was one of the best missions I ever played. One with true emotional interaction. The 1.03 hour flied by, once I got into it (which happened really quickly).

Just....Thanks for your contribution. I devote my first post to this (!). Hey, fair chance I'll even be doing some voices that'll be in it.
