[FPS problems after update]

OK, I downloaded and installed 1.02 TDM torrent and everything is back to normal .

 

The problem was probably caused by my oversight or something. I guess that if anyone else have slowdown problem after update and don't know whatelse to do, he just needs to download the torrent version.

I'll ask the obvious question: what are your PC specs?

 

Windows XP SP2, Intel Duo core 3.0 Ghz, 2 GB RAM and graphic card Geforce 8800 GTX.

 

I had no problems with performance or loading times before updates.

 

And maybe post your DoomConfig.cfg

Have you installed anything else since the upgrade that you can remember? any other doom3 mods?

 

Well, I did not install any Doom 3 mods, I also did not install anything after 1.02 update (not sure about 1.01).

 

If you could, try going to your doom3 folder, rename DoomConfig to something else then using "find files/folders" look for any remaining files named "DoomConfig" and delete them. This will reset your doom3 and TDM etc configs to default, you can return your TDM settings by renaming the file back, however test with defaults to be sure!

 

Unfortunately it did not solve my problem .

 

If you've installed a new antivirus, please try disabling it while you test.

 

Nope. No new antivirus . I tried disabling it anyway, but it did not help.

 

I guess I will just reinstall TDM and see if it helps although I really wanted to avoid that. But I can't resist TDM's call, so I'll try it anyway .

Hello everyone.

 

After I updated TDM to 1.1 it drastically slowed down.

 

Loading time takes ridiculously long, even 15 minutes! What is more, my FPS dropped to 10. I lowered everything I could (resolution, I also turned off some settings) but it's still unplayable. I've never had such problems before updates (I downloaded 1.2 but it did not help). I followed FAQ and tried every solution included in it.

 

I have no idea what else can I do, so I hope that you can provide me a solution to my problem, preferably without reinstalling TDM (it takes some time).

I liked every minute! I see that some people say that it is too linear but in my opinion it helps with building the right atmosphere (it was very creepy!) and the story (which was awesome by the way). I also did not encounter any bugs.

 

 

I player on Expert (so I had optional objective of not killing anyone) but I couldn't help myself when I knocked out the inventor and the murderer I dragged them both to the room with gas and mushrooms in the lab so they both die the death they deserve. (yes, I dragged the murderer all way from the warehouse just to kill him [at least I hope they'll die])
