I vote Xarg as a beta tester even above me.... Oh wait ahh I do have an AMD system here a 7850k or some thing but I still vote Xarg because he is Cool and a legend and still needs something more than an 830M laptop.... Am I right ?
Haha thanks, I'm flattered, but they already have enough experienced testers, and I think my longtime playing and dabbling with mappers isn't the kind of tester they're looking to fill out the ranks. If you've already been accepted, go for it! I've tested a bunch already, someone else can have a turn this time. I've got a desktop at home with the specs listed in my sig, I'm just overseas with this laptop for a bit longer, but I suspect by the time I get home the testing period for this mission will be almost at a close.

That laptop of yours sounds pretty cool?
The laptop in your sig seems pretty decent, at the very least it has a lot more GPU horsepower than mine, which is an i7 5500Q with a single NVidia 830M. It does the trick, but I do miss the larger screensize and horsepower of my desktop.

I would offer to test, but you don't need any more experienced testers,and I'm sitting in Ireland on a laptop with an 830M, not my desktop back home.

Ah, that'd explain it, I figured it was a FROM IP. Oh well, I guess we'll see what happens, and if it does make it over, some of the bugs should be fixed that will inevitably crop up

Since I assume FROM doesn't hate money, I can only assume there was something about the PC ports for Dark Souls 1 and 2 that put them off even announcing one for Bloodborne, unless that's to come at some point. I'd buy it.

I still dont know why so many people seem to be allergic to doing that, they are missing out IMO.
Probably because a few missions fail if you get detected above X level, HoLS being one that comes to mind, there are some others. Add that to the player's strongest combat asset (barring mastery of the sword system) being stealth, it's a dual incentive to keep things quiet.. our thief can't just drop a sack and get his own pro guard armour out of it if things get loud.

If you want some inspiration for your spiders, Path of Exile has some great spiders. They're hairy and colourful and gross, when they die their legs curl up and the front pair twitch every now and then, well worth taking a look at.

It appears that the 4690S is 3.2GHz 65w TDP The 4690 is 3.5GHz 84w The 4690T is 2.5GHz but really low power at 45w
So the basic 4690 - which matches the 4690K for performance and is £16 cheaper although the price difference was less last time I checked
Going back to your original question the H or Z series motherboards the price gap there has increased again so it is a case of wait and see although I will certainly go for the K series because of the improved cooling and may indeed go for the Z series given the total cost of the rebuild including a decent sized SSD as the boot drive

It makes it more difficult and more realistic in my mind. I don't know if you noticed or not but there are no difficulty levels. There are mechanics like you've mentioned here though that make the game more punishing.
Reminds me more of older games and less of newer games which if you ask me, is a good thing, unless you're talking about Dark Souls which also did this in a more 'classic' way and similar to Dying Light.
*cough* DayZ *cough*, Dark Souls at least lets you keep your equipment.

Basically the 4690K has a 3.5 GHz base speed 3.9 GHz Turbo
The 4690S is the same
As far as I can tell there isn't a base model as such - it appears that the 4690s is the base model although it is only the Haswell Refresh which has the 3.5GHz speed whereas the earlier version was 3.2 GHz
The 4690T has a 2.5 GHz base speed 3.5 GHz Turbo but is TDP 45 watts so a low power variant and is more expensive
I did a quick google and it seems the 4690 is the base version, the 4690S is the lower power/perf version, and the K is still the overclocking option. The S isn't much slower than the base/K, so it's still a solid choice, and if you're picking either the base or the S, the H motherboard will be just fine. If you're going with the K for the thermal reason listed above, I see no reason not to get the Z motherboard just in case you decide you want to overclock down the line. All 3 chips should perform fine though.

Dorset but I will definitely be going Intel with a Gigabyte H97 HD3 or Z97 HD3 motherboard depending on the prices at the time
If you're going to go with the K model cpu, don't buy the H motherboard, get the Z, otherwise you won't be able to overclock and will have wasted a bunch of cash on that K.

Haven't watched more than an hour of TV at a time for the last 14 years.. though I'll watch the odd movie now and then, most of the time I get bored because there's no interactivity.

There's probably a cookie you need to delete, and then untick (or don't tick) keep me signed in next time you visit. Or remove the remember password for this site if you're using something like Firefox, it might have got clicked or turned on by accident. Normally the easiest way I can find to get logged out of here when I visit is to run CCleaner and let it clear the browser stuff out.

No, I agree with you completely, however having recently read that some campus organisations in the US had discouraged women from attending self-defense courses, instead demanding that "men be taught not to rape", so I was reacting more to the "rapists shouldn't rape" thing as I've seen it used recently, I'm not meaning to attack you personally. I agree that it is the rapist's fault.. but in the same way that leaving your door open encourages someone of questionable moral standards to take a peek around your house, and hey, you aren't watching that TV anyway, being drunk in a short dress in public might encourage someone to make a pass at you.
Should you be able to be drunk, and wear what you want without repercussion? Sure. Is that the reality we live in? Nope. I'll end on this note however, I don't want this conversation starting up here, I see enough of it elsewhere and I'm tired of it. Someone else can make a thread if they want.

No rapists shouldn't rape, end of argument.
While I agree with the sentiment that rapists shouldn't do what they do, that wording is the second dumbest shit I've read on the subject, beaten only by the "legitimate rape" thing one of the US Republicans said a couple of years ago. Rapists shouldn't rape, but they will anyway, so you should take care. Or would you care to argue that having a burglar alarm enables burglar culture?
If you put it on rapists to stop raping... you'll be waiting a while. Declining to look after yourself on the expectation that someone else will do the right thing is effectively putting a neon "rape me" sign around your neck.
