  1. So I've been cleaning off updates on the missions page by updating and replaying them and have been having difficulty with this one. I don't know if there's a trigger broken or what.
Aside from my issue listed in my spoiler, I found the update plays much smoother, so thank you for that. I realize this is an older mission so may not get fixed at this point, just thought I'd mention in case. :)

    Spoiler

I can not get the Tome to advance to trigger the bad guys showing up at the cabin. See screen shot for where it leaves me. I have been to the beach & the ship and I die. I go through either door in the kitchen and I die. The only path it lets me take is to the cave (the ending) and skipping the loot in the chest. I have tried reloading and replaying from several different scenarios from going to bed again, the beach start again and all the way back to grabbing the tome again and reading slowly. Nothing is letting me advance to the bad guys showing up. I don't remember having this difficulty on my original play through long ago. I'm not sure what I'm missing this time around.

Also, in an earlier comment, the Captain's closet was listed as one of the secrets however in this playthrough it wasn't acknowledged as one so can only find 3 of 4.

  2. Congratulations on your mission, hard to believe its your first, well done.

    Spoiler

I love a mission that has a secret to discover early on, it makes me search every nook and cranny. I found all of them. I liked that there were different pathways to get you where you wanted to go as well as the clue to the good stuff helped me find all the loot.

Thanks for all your hard work, I hope to see more missions from you. :)

  3. Finished this up yesterday and for the most part, found it enjoyable. :) The puzzles weren't too hard as your clues were good for them.

    Spoiler

This was a huge mission but loved the different sections. Stealth score wasn't the greatest (lost most of it in the sewers) as I had to alert some to get them to run over the mine. lol. Had to check here for the crown location, so thanks for pinpointing it. I didn't find out about the brick in the basement until later (knew there had to be a reason I could go there, just didn't find it) so climbed the beam (and singed my butt lol) getting pass the gas in the tunnel after dying to see if the body was Alan.

I also had trouble spotting the holes in the secret walkway (forgot about the peek action) then couldn't see the combo as I'd already been to Conrad's room and put the candle out. lol - note to self lol

Thanks for lots of arrows for the spiders, some took many, and I was thinking I might have to noclip by them but eventually they died. I didn't put two and two together to light the flame at the end of the cave, so thanks for the hint here. I couldn't take Alan's body back so had to hope the note would suffice for my good deed. I got 4 out of 2 so that was good.

Thank you for all your hard work and I look forward to more missions from you.

  4. Congrats on the release of your first mission. It was short but sweet. Although I did find it a challenge to get

    Spoiler

in around the guards at the doors. Had a heck of a time finding the rope arrow but everything went well after that.

Look forward to your next mission, thanks for all your hard work. :)

  5. Well that was fun! Congrats on the mission. I love exploring whatever nook and cranny I can.

    Spoiler

I wasn't sure who Jimmy was, so freed one inmate who ran through the bars and waited in the hall. When the objective didn't check off, I kept looking and eventually found the note to him. I unlocked his cell but he just stood there, so was glad the objective checked off since I couldn't open the door very far. Coates "blessed" himself a little too long and drowned, and I learned Sharpe can't swim lol. I moved Ella when I first found her so not sure if I changed an outcome for Burns or not as it was determined to be a robbery when I put him to bed.
Atkinson involved quite the search, I didn't find him until almost the end of the game. Never thought to look "in" the corner while I was up on the stacks of merchandise. Gave myself a few major alerts as I now had to go check all those that were still standing and not in uniform. Knock em out, pick up to see who they were.

I had lots of quick saves as some of the jumps seemed impossible (but weren't) leading me to keep searching. Lighting was great for sneaking around and I used very few water arrows. I had one crash to desk top after jumping to a tower. I stood in the corner to shoot a water arrow down to the torch and it just crashed. Didn't put me back far at all since I was saving before big jumps.

Thanks again for all your hard work and look forward to more missions from you. :)

  6. Been away for awhile so glad to see you guys are still here :) First of all congratulations on the completion of Grayman's mission, I think you've done it justice.  Finished this up the other day and did enjoy it

    Spoiler

    especially the "otherworld".

I got into the mansion pretty quickly but wanted to explore the surrounding area first, lots of area to search. I did feed the beggar (gotta take care of those less fortunate) and he gave me the tip for the new way in which encouraged further exploration. I like that. :) I cleaned house pretty quickly and went off in search of the lady. After rereading the clue, I found the access to the secret room/ doorway to the other world. I was not expecting that and began to explore. I found the brothers room, made my way through and explored the outside but I felt I was missing something.
I checked here and found that the floating objects could be jumped on, that helped a lot. I saved often as some of those jumps were tricky, for me anyways. So restarted that section (from the brothers room) and sure enough I missed the key to a few doors I'd seen. And the rest was history.
I found Wilson & opened the chest, opened the big safe & fed the well. I set the lady free as well as the other spirits and found it was very satisfying to dispatch the brother. Grabbed the inheritance too before calling it a night.

There were two tablets that I couldn't do anything with other than pick them up in the other world. I'm not sure if they were suppose to be readable or not. I couldn't read them and they didn't go into my inventory like the other two. One was in the area coming off the brothers room and the other was off what would have been the front door where there's a tower with chairs.

Again thank you for all your hard work, it was very much appreciated. :)

  7. Got around to playing and completing this today. Congrats, gives you lots to think about. :)

    Spoiler

I had tried this mission a few times and could never get much farther than the main hall on the first floor, kept running into a guard so became frustrated with it. Decided to give this another try but made my way to the second floor to start. Wow, 4th times the charm lol. I found the switch in the attic and had no idea what it did - nothing opened, no lights turned off and you could only flip it once, so I did come here for a hint. Thanks for that :) As I worked my way from top to bottom I found the other switches before I found the hint from the mechanic.

It was kind of nice walking around, doing my thing and not getting hassled other than being told to move along.

Thanks for all your hard work and I look forward to other missions from you.

  8. So pretty much finished this up yesterday and it is massive. Loved finding new places to explore so thanks again for helping me with my wrong turn. It became quite enjoyable after that. :)

    Spoiler

As I mentioned I have all objectives except taking the medicine home checked off, however I'm feeling like its not complete. I have yet to find #2 Newsrunner message and it seems to me that one appears after an objective is completed. I have found 1-5 except #2 - any hints on what I'm missing? Would love to complete it.

Thank you for all your hard work and look forward to more from you.

    @Thiefette

This is a long spoiler.  My intent in making the mission was more to tell a story than puzzle people to death.

      Hide contents

Airmid's staff isn't in Helot's quarters, it's in the first area of the hall.  Once in the hall the only way forward is down the stairs, past the area where Helot is patrolling back and forth from his desk inside, out the door to the lectern and back again.  The key to Airmid's staff display is on Helot's right hip.

The staff itself is under Helot's lectern on a level with the four guards forced to listen to Helot's rantings.  You can't pick it up yet because that location is guarded by electric something-or-other.

There's a key "hidden" under a picture on Helot's desk down there, where you maybe KO'ed him.  It's for the desk drawers.  A note in one of the desk drawers has two pieces of information: 1.  It says touching the "gargoyle" switch behind Helots desk (where you're reading the note) has something to do with the staff (lowers the staff to the lower display room where the player can grab it after using the display key).    So:  KO or pickpocket Helot to get the display key,  and frob the gargoyle switch behind his desk, then go down and collect Airmid's staff.  2.  It says Helot has Scarletbotham's book on necromancy in his private quarters.  The key for that  is "hidden" in Scarletbotham's private rooms at the manor, above his dungeon.   So you'll have to return to the hall later, after you get the quarters key.  I put in a couple teleport back/forth locations to quicken the pace.

You broke the mission by somehow entering through the portcullis and main entrance and bypassing Aiden's route.  The notes recommended you not do that - too well guarded.  That you could do it shows a serious mission design flaw!  Your playthrough should still be salvageable though.  So if you want to salvage it, listen close!

Aiden's route past the hut opens only after you return Airmid's staff to the dropbox at Aiden's hut.  That was your only necessary task at that early point in the game.  A bit of magic happens and a safe route to the manor is opened.  This bit of magic becomes a recurring theme distinguishing the pagan way/world and it happens twice more, after the farm and after AIrmid's grotto.  Now careful, a part of the magic is a note appears in a puff of smoke on the stump near the strange plant at the Hut.  Picking up the note initiates your next major objective!  Which is simple:  get to the farm and drop that note "sealed for Gwyneth" in Gwyneth's drop box in the barn at the farm.  Then follow Gwyneth and magic magic magic after a little party near the fire at the gazebo magic happens and another note appears along with some supplies including an all important key.  Read the note.  It says "Return Smythe to the sickbed (a bed near the kitchen)."  It says that the key opens some doors in Scarletbotham's manor - your route to Smythe.  The note mentions other optional objectives.

So go get Smythe, do whatever optional objectives you want, maybe find Helot's private quarters key in Scarletbotham's private room up top there.  It's hardly hidden at all.  Pickpocket Scarletbotham for the dungeon key.  ->GET SMYTHE<-.  Drop him on the sickbed in the kitchen at the farm.  Mandatory objective achieved!  It triggers Gwyneth.  Follow Gwyneth from the sickbed through the kitchen front door.   She stops at a familiar magic plant.  Magic happens - a way forward is opened up.   A teleport back to Aiden's hut appears near the new opening.  You can put off the optional objectives for now - just ignore the teleport or maybe test it out but come back and follow the new route, collect the supplies in the opened passage.  Read the note with the supplies.  Nothing mandatory needs to be done now - just get past Bleakhouse and to the ... magic plant.  Check out the plant.  The plant opens a new way forward straight to Airmid's grotto.  Collect Airmid's herbs at the grotto.  Go forward from there - to the lab and alchemist Gray.  Drop the herbs in Gray's dropbox.  Wait for Gray.  Collect Gray's decoction and all mandatory objectives are done.  If you go forward from there you arrive at the inner courtyard of Weezil's buildings and the Ox.  Now, after grabbing the key from one of the guards at the gate the entire map is opened up.  Find a way back to the mission starting point and conclude the mission, or do the optional objectives and discover the value of newsrunners.

Thank you so much for your reply. I was enjoying the story and the puzzles. I guess my problem seems to be seeing keys, don't know if its my eyes or my settings lol, but am having a lot of difficulty with that. I will go check him again.

    Spoiler

I don't know if I broke the mission or not as I went through the front gate at the manor and yes there were many guards there lol. I started sneaking and when they noticed me I ran like hell and buried my self in the bush until they gave up.

Thank you again, I look forward to continuing. :)

  10. So before I give up on this (because I can't go further) I'm here begging for some help. I don't know what I am missing.

    Spoiler

I've been to Aiden's hut and have the builder hall key. Made it through the inner court yard to a door that says it wants the Helot's Quarter Key. Can not find. I finally found the S's porticullis key so was able to get all the way back to the farm. Did the optional objective while I was there but no further instruction. While in the manor locked doors said I need Scarlebotham key or Account key. Can not find either.
Am I missing a step somewhere? From looking at the map it looks like I can get into the hall from Aiden's hut area but can't find any entry way. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. :)

  11. Well that was fun! :) Loved the different train cars.

    Spoiler

Although the tavern car was tricky to get through - everyone kept hearing me even when I tried a moss arrow.  Oh well, didn't get anyone too excited :) I have to ask if the gear in the inventors/generator car was for anything? I didn't find anywhere to put it so just left it in the car.

Thanks for all your hard work, I look forward to more missions from you. :)

  12. This was an enjoyable mission - until I hit the main objective.

    Spoiler

I too, struggled with the bookcase code. As with others, the coloured lights didn't really show up for me. I don't know if its my settings for playing? (I only saw they had some colour after checking for a clue here). I could sort of make out which might be red, and kind of guessed at blue but couldn't tell the difference between the yellow and green. At first my bad was reading the clue in the medicine book left to right - two lines so thanks for the hint here :) . Then it was some guessing until I had to come and look at your explicit clue. Thanks again. I tried it a few times and it didn't work so was wondering if maybe its on a timer? So went quickly between the cases and it finally worked. Yay!
I enjoyed searching for the secrets - there were some difficult to find ones (staircase!) just barely caught that one but did find them all.

Thanks for all your hard work, I look forward to more. :)

  13. Finished this up yesterday and really enjoyed it. It seemed to be all about the timing of things so added some tension in a few spots.

    Spoiler

I loved the twist it took when you finally got into the mansion. Enjoyed all the puzzles except for one - the 2nd room of the elementals - I found that one very frustrating. I finally made it across only to be zapped back to a gate I had no trouble reaching anyways. After multiple, multiple tries, I just no clipped to the door :( . The others were all a good challenge. I appreciated the in game hints for a couple of puzzles - saved me from exiting and asking here.
The guards seem to be really sensitive to sounds (even though I have my settings to forgiven), not sure why, lots of muttering and moving on lol.  Also, enjoyed looking for all the secrets :)

Thanks for all your hard work. I look forward to more missions from you.

  14. Finished this up yesterday, nice enjoyable mission.

    Spoiler

I enjoyed the side contracts and secrets (found them all). Gave me a chance to check out the beautiful tribute garden. Nicely done. The book was a nice touch. I misunderstood the factory contract and thought the little critters were what I was suppose to get rid of so tried a bunch of different things on them and nothing worked. So thought okay, maybe there's something else ahead. Only when I came upon the guy upstairs, did I reread the contract and came to realize this was who I was to get rid of so took care of him and threw him in the cage where my reward was lol.

I really liked the new female character for the most part. Although I did notice she groaned and grunted louder with effort any time she climbed or lifted anything. Even alerted a guard once.

I would have loved to have been able to rob the whole supply shop but found if I knocked him out or was caught on camera, the whole place shut down so that was a bit disappointing (not too much though)

Thank you for all your hard work, I always enjoy your missions and look forward to more.

  15. First, congratulations on your win. This was truly an amazing mission and felt like a whole city for me to explore (oh the places I'll go) and I looked just about everywhere more than twice. I really enjoyed the whole thing.

    Spoiler

After scrounging up some loot for the lock picks, I ended up accidentally purchasing the glasses when I clicked on them to see what they were lol. Oh well, off to scrounge some more and there was so much to scrounge. I spent over 19 hours scrounging, probably about half way through (before the plague area) a little light bulb went off in my head (or a memory returned?) of what the glasses could do so had (yes had) to go back through the whole area with them on to see what I could find although I did miss the skeleton until near the end of the game. I loved how the dead looked with the glasses, nice change of pace.

I ended with just over 14K in loot but still didn't find it all (wow) I'm not sure if I completed all objectives - both primary and optional as some never showed up until I did them. Example - "find the fables..." would come up and show completed at the same time - not sure if that's how you meant it. I also never found a code for the private apartments (didn't really need one) as well as Lady Ursine vault. I came here to look for a clue (for the vault) to confirm where it was (the portrait). So I went back in and with and without the glasses saw no numbers so I tried my lantern for more light and they showed up plain as day.

Thank you for all your (obvious) hard work. I would definitely play this again, just because, and look forward to more.

  16. Finished this up yesterday and enjoyed the straight up - get the loot and get out style -was a nice change of pace. The loot was fairly easy to find so stocked up on just about all of it.

    Spoiler

As I was moving through your map, I had a sense of deja vu in quite a few areas. It was a long run to the mansion but enjoyed the diversion into the "pagan?" cave. And then another long run up to the mansion, fortunately once there, I had lots to look through.

As mentioned, I found most of the loot, however I could not get the loot bag off the guard that goes into the dining room nor could I get a sword that was in a glass case in the lounge (maybe not loot?) so ended up short at the end of the game. Not sure if there was others I'd missed but once I found your sneaky spots (chandelier, paintings) I had to run around and check everything again lol.

Thanks for all your hard work, I look forward to more missions from you.

    • Thanks 1
  17. Congrats on the mission, I just finished it up today and enjoyed it.

    Spoiler

When I first started, I went over to the bow shop and apartments first. I then went to the back door of the sewer first and found myself feeling a little trapped. I hadn't found the blackjack yet, so with the two guards on a tight path, I came here to see what I was missing. Guess I've been away to long and forgot about using doors for climbing. lol Once I got the key to the apartments the whole world opened up and the search was on for both the secrets and the coins (I found many more than 5). Searching for coins allowed me to find many other "trinkets" and I ended up with almost all the loot.
I had to have help with the secret in the rafters - after much searching up there as it looked like a place where something could be - and having crawled through every other place looking for something to highlight, I confirmed here that it was indeed in the rafters. I still had trouble finding it but did eventually.
The gears moving in the elevator was well done, I thought. When I was in the sewer, I expected the undead to jump up when I got near so was surprised (pleasantly) when it didn't and when I got upstairs, I hid against the groaning door and had to make sure it didn't open on me. lol

All in all, it was a nice busy map with lots to explore, thank you for all your hard work.

  18. Congrats on the mission, it was awesome!

    Spoiler

The glasses were cool, (but I kept forgetting to use them) so had to double back over a lot of places but worth it. The new security cameras were just a little on the creepy side and I had to come here to get a hint on how to shut off. (glasses needed again lol) I loved all the secrets, well 9 out of 10 of them as I couldn't find # 10 - must be my last bit of missing loot, as well as I like that they are now added into the mission stats (puts sticky note away).

This was really like two missions in one. The foot prints were very helpful in figuring out routes in the first half. Once into the sewers, the glasses helped lead the way. I found once entering the compound, I was having trouble figuring out where everyone was and who was coming and going as the sound was carrying so much I was feeling "stuck". I then figured out I could knock some of them out so it kind of evened up the playing field a bit.

Thanks for all your hard work, it really shows. :)

    • Thanks 2
  19. Finished this up today and enjoyed the many areas to search.

    Spoiler

Enjoyed the many readables and had no trouble with the two new objections near the end (well end for me - saved Braxton's room for later. ) I missed the switch on my first go through the office but the letter helped. Loved the twist at the end (except the spiders) but figured it out pretty quick so headed down. (Did that door just appear in the sewer? Don't remember seeing it when I came through earlier lol)

As I was heading back to my apartment I had to ask myself "What happened to all the people in Gatwick?" Noticed the gate was ajar coming out of the sewer, the hanged man was gone. Even the poor fellow sleeping it off was gone. Was expecting everyone to have been turned into zombies so checked the other neighbourhood, nope they were still as they were. Decided that was a good time to take my butt home.

Thanks for all your hard work and look forward to the continuation. :)

    • Thanks 1
  20. First of all congratulations on the release of your mission. I have to say I enjoyed it as much as your previous ones. Love all the extra challenges, objectives and of course the secrets.

    Spoiler

I took on 3 of the 4 challenges (no ghost as I'd already knocked people out), completed the extra objectives and searched for all the secrets.

One kept eluding me but I kept searching and re-searching everywhere as I hadn't found a key for the door in the sewer. Finally found the last one in Bernard Thompkins room. When he talked about a secret stash, I thought it was the loot on the ledge outside his place and I'd found that before going in so didn't do much searching at his place. Oh well, the extra searching also allowed me to find more of the loot. :)

    So just a few notes:

-I was surprised to find I couldn't knock anyone out in the manor, even if they didn't see me. But made it work and caught the thief. I got him out of there, took him to the room and threw him down (he landed face up) but the objective didn't check off (didn't notice right away so off I went) When I realized it hadn't checked off, I went back and picked him up and put him down (this time he landed face down) and it checked off. So it made me go hmmm. Tried it a few more times and it would only check off if he landed face down.

-Something killed Lenny. I had knocked him out and when I found him later, he had a blood splatter on his chest and was now a corpse.

-The chest in the cultist room wouldn't let me frob anything inside once opened. I reloaded and tried no clip without highlighting the chest (I couldn't frob if I highlighted the chest first) and I was able to get the items out of the chest that way.

These were all minor frustrations and all in all I enjoyed this mission.

Thank you for all your hard work, look forward to more. :)

  21. Finished this up yesterday and for the most part enjoyed it

    Spoiler

I had difficulty with the deposit box puzzle and ended up coming here to get some help. At first I didn't realize that was them in the room with the drunk guy but from checking here I saw it was. I was still baffled because I never found a 4 number code so I didn't even try the dial, then spent a lot of time searching for a code - which was okay as I found loot I was missing.  I did have the 69 code note and with some help from here discovered the dials moved the red spot lol and I got the girls taken care of.

I have to ask though - where is the key for the grate in the girls area? I thought the one locked up would be the one but it didn't work either.

Thanks for all your hard work and I look forward to more. :)

  22. Got a chance to finish this up yesterday. All in all, I enjoyed this mission, thanks for all your hard work. :)

    Spoiler

I must admit that I was feeling a little lost when I started out but enjoyed exploring especially when I found there were secrets (which I ended up finding all of). I did have to come here a few times - 1) I had the crash in the decontamination chamber 2) the keyhole for the cooler. - I need to remember to look up once in a while lol 3) at the end, I had all the runes but couldn't get them to highlight - turns out I missed the note on top which seemed to trigger further objectives.  And I must say, thank you very much for the fire arrows, they came in handy in a few spots.

Look forward to more from you. :)
