Now I'm getting a massive blank space at the page header area, with the logo and page contents displaying at least 2 inches lower than they should.
same here.
sorry - fixed now.

It's definitely a performance issue, that's why low end computers are having problems. I remember seeing a.. better to put spoilers here
I remember seeing a house in the plague ward that was empty. By empty I mean I could see the whole map as if I'm no-clipping away. Couldn't this kind of 'leak' affect performance in some way? I'm just guessing as I have no idea how the inner workings of the engine are.
I saw that as well and that was one area where I froze up just coming near it. As for my computer I have:
Intel Core Quad 2 Q9650 @ 3.7GH core speed
8 GB of DDR2 memory
GEForce GTX285 Graphics.
Is this considered low end?

Everyone seems to be mentioning freezing up at the
tavern. I had a small slow down there (thought it froze but then worked) however most (but not all) of my freeze ups were in the plague ward. Just thought I'd let you know.

Finished this up last night and have to say its one of my faves despite the small trouble with the
hatch.
I missed a statue and a painting for loot but went back in and got them so got all the loot and stealth of 1. I loved your weather effects and the mansion itself. The story flowed nicely and your ghosts were awesome. After dieing when she passed to close I treated them like any other AI and watched for their pattern so they didn't give me any more trouble. The tension & spookyness were there but I didn't get a full out Halloween feeling.
Thanks for a great mission. Look forward to your next one.

Mid 70s the next 3 days. Then it'll drop. We don't get very much snow, just nasty ice storms.
Think I'll stick to the snow. Hate driving on ice.
-
Thanks Fieldmedic, the mission is looking great so far.
Don't know why but went back in today and it worked so will go and finish up.
-
Better put on your snowtires Biker
. I'm in Winnipeg, Canada and we're having an unusually long fall and should be getting dumped on any day. Not complaining mind you. The longer it stays away the better. Hey Grayman - is it warm down there?
-
Shall have a look at it after work, Thiefette.
Thanks Fieldmedic, the mission is looking great so far.

Would like to finish this up but still stuck
on area with the hatch in the bedroom. Keep dieing whether switch up or down.
Can anyone help?
-
What about this hidden hatch?
If you go to the servants quarters (the place where you encounter the first ghost) you'll see three doors. The leftmost is to the butlers bedroom and in his desk is a book with hints towards a hidden stash underneath the floor of the master bedroom. To have read this readable is vital to be able to find the compartment.
Go to the master bedroom. Go into the alcove with the bath tub. The mat will roll up and reveal a hatch in the floor. Make sure the switch on the fireplace is in the lower position, or else the trap will kill you down there. Then use the hatch key and drop down and collect three golden ingots.
I die
whether switch is up or down.
Is there something else I should have done first?

I finished this up last night and did enjoy it.
I'm sorry I had to give lower mark for frustration. I had so many freeze up's, it was becoming frustrating to play. I managed to get all the loot because of your little "clues" (open lighted roof, ropes and things to climb for what seemed no reason etc.) There was so many places to search that it was a little disappointing to find nothing.
As Raymeld said, among others, I look forward to the update of this map, it's going to be awesome. Thanks for your hard work Bikerdude.

As you're not out on a regular mission (just a friendly visit to a certain person) you don't start the mission with any thieving equipment.
You'll be given lockpicks at a later stage.
The mission is quite railroaded in the beginning; the only place you can go is the study and from there you are herded to chase the other intruder. The chase should be quite straightforward exept the first turn when the intruder darts left into the arch way (servants quarters). This is the "hardest" part of the chase, after that you cannot go wrong, as it'll be easier to detect the open doors and later he'll be tip over a barrel with wine and from there he'll be making foot prints. In the servants quarters you'll be making your first encounter with the ghosts...
Thanks. I remember your other mission and shall go with the floe.

Wondering if I'm missing something. Just started and
have no tools of the trade. Have been through the house at least rooms that weren't locked looking for them but haven't found anything. Not even any loot. As a master thief I would think that I'd always have something nearby at least? I've even found the ghost and failed the new objective.
Is this correct and I should just go with it or is something not right?
-
I didn't fix the loot problem I just couldn't find all the loot, it seams. So I was unsure wheather there was a problem with some loot.
It was tricky to find because of the
"teleporting" at the end. I did the ending a few times because I'd forget something on the other side
. Finally I made a note for myself so I'd remember.

Thanks nbohr1more.
stumpy- as I mentioned I enjoyed this mission even though there was
spiders in it. I really appreciated your well placed shadows because the spiders take so many arrows to kill I had to sneak around them.(except two). I liked the hunt for the pumpkins although when I first entered the house I was some what confused by what the pumpkin was doing and what I was suppose to do with it. Maybe your note about collecting them could have been on that first table. Your creepyness factor was high with your textures and lighting. Your "path" to the end was easy to follow and I liked the puzzle. It was really cool how you hid the king. I almost had a heart attack when that spider came through the wall when I was right there.
One other thing I was confused by was what was the guy suppose to be doing while the pumpkins were attacking him? I also liked your surprise ending with the house. Wasn't expecting that.
Again thanks for a great mission.

yeah hard to read.
try ctrl+a
Or you can just highlight them (as if you're going to copy them). Makes them readable at least.
-
Great work stumpy. Really enjoyed this mission. Did you fix the loot issue as my mission statistics showed I found all the loot? Anyways I would add more comments but can't find how to add spoilers to my reply. Can anyone help?

I usually leave doors open just a crack so I can hear guards coming without much risk of being seen.
I also use the spyglass. A lot. I'll find a nice shadow to wedge myself into and check out how armoured guards are, what weapons they have (which will actually matter after 1.07), whether they have anything on their belt, and even sometimes scan readables from afar.
That's the way I like to play. Lot's of planning and sneaking.
As far as using noclip - I've only used that when I've gotten hung up in the game (fall through the floor, stuck in a corner etc.) and use it instead of quitting and going back to a previous usually far back save. I'd hate to be penalized for that.

Could I please get a hint on how to find that
hidden fourth entrance in the crypt? The hint given in an earlier post was "check around the sarcophagi"
but I can't seem to find anything...
In the room with many sarcophagi try looking behind one.
Hope this helps.

Finished last night
and I too found it somewhat large and empty meaning I kept expecting more AI. At the beginning I had a little indecision as to which direction I was going to go first (almost went to the church) but after checking a few things out found the sewer and went there. I liked your sewer. I also liked the many different areas you had for loot possiblities. Your tombs with the haunts was tricky enough to search so added a nice touch of danger. I went up into the rafters first and when I found nothing wondered "what the"
, but knew there must be a purpose so kept searching. One hint I'd give is to save before you throw as it's a long way down and back if you miss or drop it. All in all your mission flowed fairly well from place to place. When I finished I found I hadn't got all the loot so went back in, checked everywhere except sewers but couldn't get there because of mission end so had to go back to a previous save. Missed two rings on the table. It was long walk for two rings
.
Thanks again for all your hard work. Look forward to your next mission.

Congrats on the release!
Downloading now.

Yeah, not everyone likes playing against spiders and undead (blackjacking guards is my favorite, personally). But that's why I did it that way, to provide a challenge not everyone is comfortable with.
My next one likely will include a scenario I've been experimenting with recently. I've only done a small amount of forest so far, but plan to expand that out into a city (where the player starts). A series of events will unfold to take you from the city out into the forest.
Looking forward to it!

Good to hear that you finished it. Sorry for
creeping you out with the spiders so much. I must admit that when test-playing they made me jump a couple of times, even though I'm the one who put them there and set up the traps. And I'm a person who actually likes spiders... real ones though... not huge Mirkwood-style monster-spiders or the likes of Shelob and Ungoliant.
Originally, the spider king was going to be the rat king. I wanted to swarm the player with 6-10 or so rats, but I couldn't get the little buggers to attack so I had to swap them out for spiders.
Yes, easy is a nice way to play
Expert mode with the no-kill difficulty can be a downright pain, especially if you are to get every piece of loot. One must be very sneaksie and quicksie-like to get through and still you will...
be seen by the revenant while making your exit after grabbing the scepter. If someone can truly ghost this mission I will be very, very surprised.
I know they have thier place in the world (outside in the garden killing mosquitoes) and as long as they stay there and stay very small I can deal with them. Maybe.
I can't imagine ghosting this. I only did medium and I might as well of been carrying sparklers and blowing a whistle as far as my stealth score goes.
Again top marks for spookyness factor. Look forward to more from you.

Finished up again and found all but 125 loot and I bet I know where it is but can't get back there so will wind this up.
I liked this mission even though I hate spiders (hate them so much had to get my son to do some) so the creepyness was there. I'm sorry I didn't get a feel that it was halloween even though there was just about every creepy creature that I've ever seen in any mission so that counts for something towards the theme I'd say. At the beginning in the cemetary I found it hard to get out of the light because I was walking on the tops of the flowers until I got off to the side. I had some difficulty spotting things ie: the book, pathways in both the tunnels and maze.
I liked the random path of the skeletons - added a little extra challange to things. Now you did get me with the "gotcha" moments, the flash of lights etc. but could of done without the spiders. Just sayin
. I really liked how this mission seemed to keep going everytime you completed one objective a new room would open up.
I had a few crashes also. One was when I came back from the kings tomb and the other two were in the maze and tunnel. The last two I've had on other games so don't thing they're related to yours.
Thanks for all your hard work PranQster. Will probably play again to get my missing loot but I think I'll pick easy next time
. Whew!!

Not sure if this is the place to ask but here goes. Why are the polls different from each other? In some it say's I've voted (Creeps, A Night to Remember) yet I can not see how nor can I see what others have voted. Yet in others (Dragons Claw) I can see how I voted as well as how others have voted? Just curious.
