Try doing a fresh install in C:\Doom3 rather than C:\Program Files\Doom3. See if this helps.

Where is your Doom3 installed? (i.e is it in Program Files? is it a Steam copy?)

Do you have other doom3 mods installed? Have you updated to the correct version?

Doom 3 is installed in Program Files x86 folder in Doom3 subsdirectory (no spaces)...Not Steam

No other Doom 3 mods are installed. I did update Doom 3 to correct version

 

I have run tdm_update twice but will do it again...It seemed to have updated everything correctly

I get the following message after the TDM splash screen in a popup window

 

ERROR: Error: file script/doom_events.script, line 1041: Unknown event 'moveToCoverFrom'

 

I am running Windows 7
