I've really enjoyed this mission. Playing most difficult setting, but I can't seem to finish it despite completing all non-optional objectives. I've got the
Spoilerkey to the front gate
, but it tells me I need to
Spoilercomplete all my objectives before going through to exit
. So are the optional objectives in fact not optional? (I've actually completed all objectives except for "all the loot".)

Sounds like you have an old mission installed.
Delete the line in your darkmod/currentfm.txt then launch TDM and go to Missions > Downloads and download all the mission updates.

Just did the update to 2.13. The update process went smoothly. But when I try to load the program I get:
"Error: file script/tdm_slowfall_potion.script, line 4: 'playertools_slowfallpotion' : redefinition; different basic types"
Any suggestions? Thanks

I'm on Mission 4 and discovered something that may or may not be a bug.
SpoilerI'm in the room at the top of the elevator, after disabling the alarm with the moulds. I gave up on the combination even though I've counted the dots in drawings in Maria's room and have Jonus' poem. (No combination seemed to work!) So then I just decided to shoot a broadhead arrow at the button on the far side of the elevator. The left hand elevator door then opened and the elevator started to descend. I tried to simply jump on board for the ride down, but I found I was unable to move anywhere, as if I was paralysed. I had to go back to an earlier save. I tried again with the arrow from different locations in the room, always opening the elevator door, but then I was permanently stuck.
Weird or intended, I don't know.

Having a lot of fun with this gorgeous mission. But I'm having trouble finding

- for the one locked room on the top floor of the inn
- for the secure records room

If memory serves me correctly, there is a bug in which if you either interrupt or don't let a safe door open fully it wont make the insides be interactable.
The reason for this is that safes require an entity inside to be triggered to tell the game "hey the safe is open, you can grab the stuff inside", otherwise the player can just pull things out from the safe without opening it. What happened previously (and this is a result of me being a naive mapper back then) was that the safe door was set to only trigger that action on being opened. And so anything that interrupted the door would cause that to go wry and so you could see the inside of the safe, but couldn't interact because the game still thinks the safe door is closed.
To resolve that issue on your end, you'd have to go in and reload before you opened the safe and make sure that you don't interrupt/stop the door while it's opening. As I just tested this on 2.09 and can confirm if the door opens fully and the loot inside is frobable:
I do apologize for your negative experience there, and when I update this mission next I will be sure to make a note of that fix.

I have the exact same problem. Playing on 2.09.
It's unfortunate because I was really enjoying the mission up till now.

Thanks. But, yes, I've
cleansed the heart
and completed all objectives (optional and non-optional) except for
"all loot"
. I still get that message about not being able to exit
the front gate
without "completing my objectives". Playing latest version, fyi.
