Do you use Lightwave mainly Oddity? Also what are most of the models in DarkMod done in?

Welcome. May have been better to put this in GD. Are you on the TTLG forums too?

Some screens for Gears of War:

Looks ace. I like that derelict building one. It looks like a good Thief style place. Could be a cardle like expereince. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/media...shot_159549.jpg
This looks nice too:

Why don't you go back to TTLG and bother the kids there?
-
I think you are right Schatten. The thing is if people want this or that they should really do it themselves once the toolset is released. I'll be trying 3rd person etc. No point in bothering others about it. After all I wouldn't want to do what you've all been doing on my own

I was going to get this one:

But opted for this:

Thing is a widescreen 19" is a 17" with an inch extra either side really.

The anonymiser and the privoxy spyguard work together somehow, I dont think one runs without the other. I assumed its a good thing to have on anyway. Id be interested if you know more about this stuff though.
I get most of my freeware from here buddy. Check the stuff out:
-
Why do you want to anonymise? I have a good antivirus, aswell as ewido antimalware, windows defender, and CCleaner too.
-
I've played so many console games, i don't know too much of the PC stuff, but Oblivion looked really rather good on my Toshiba 27" HDTV and on the 360.
-
The game got a lot of good reviews, especially from gamers. You can't go far wrong buddy.

Halo 1 and 2 have challenging AI, I loved playing them on Legendary. Though Legendary was essentially the same but they take less damage and you take more etc. Still amazing to watch them go for cover and try and creep up on you etc.

i cant see what is more adventurous in oblivion than morrowind..
heard about that Assasin's Creed for the first time..i like its idea of 'hitman' in medieval times, thought i dont trust Ubi on the 'free-styled gameplay' thing.
I think not getting bogged down in stats makes it more adventurous. I like a adventure game with light role playing elements a la Shenmue and Zelda, or a good RPG like StarWars KOTOR and FFVII.
I know what you mean about Assassins. They say within the mission area it'll be free roaming, and anything that projects 2 inches out in the game world can be climbed etc. If they do a good mix of Splinter Cell/ Prince of Persia and make combat interesting, it could be cool. I doubt it'll have the same feeling of Thief though.
-
Loads of people who loved Morrowind have a hard time with Oblivion. I like both. Maybe Oblivion a bit more due to the fact it's more of an adventure game, though not upto the level of Shenmue or Zelda. You watching out for Assassin's Creed then?
-
Really? that's odd, as I played as a stealthy Thief and didn't hack and slash. My second playthrough was as a wizard mage which had a bit of hack and slash, but mainly I was casting spells.

I hope it's not all hack and slash like some of these games. A more Oblivion style would be cool.

Bloody hell !! I have a lot to learn. I'm finding Unreal easier to approach. I reckon it's cause the book is so good:

Would it make any difference using Maya or 3dsmax?
