  1. @Springheel - If you not demand,I can render it in better resolution. Remember half-year ago expirience, I decide to done it in 512x512

     

    Pixelisation shown by you on screen happens because of half-size of specular map. To avoid this I have to make bigger specular maps, or remake UV map's for models

  2. Hi to all, sorry for missing. I want to done this set. Second day spent for setting up darkengine, lightwave etc, to continue working process. Have no much time, but can spend about 2-3 hours in a few days for this work.

     

    Questions to community:

     

    Is it needed to be done like set? For now I have done bed for 80% in one black skin, and planned to make bench and wardrobe.

    If yes, tell me what colours prefered. I had all done scenes to re-render textures for other stuff.

  3. Ok, yesterday I have bought another Notebook, have no time to wait for repairing my first one. This mean,that from next week I'll continue to working on Builder's set and other models. So if anyone have thoughts about changes in my models - write it, to save me some time ))

  4. Colours looks bad, better change cooper to some blue gray steel from native textures or change base colour. Don't show particulary textured object - always better to show all textured, because not everyone can imagine how it will be finished.

     

    P.s. didn't saw 3rd page :)) but still need changes in textures

  5. Atheran, don't try to maintain all tasks in one day... What about your table? What about your statue? I think you should forget about modular buildings , while didn't done with 1-5 models, put it to TDM with textures and skins, and post it to know what really you make right and what wrong... That's only my opinion, but you try to handle with to many tasks in a little term of time, better finish your first tries and then go further

  6. Zbrush today allow to quick producing low poly model from high poly. I don't make it by myself, but sure will in close time.. Look tutorials on you tube - I see something there

  7. Can you write more detailed about trouble with baking normal maps from high poly to low poly? I think that processes should be similar in different programs, and maybe I can help you with that..

     

    Some methods I used to make detailed normal maps:

     

    Wooden structure and etc - by adding bump texture prepared in photoshop.

    Bolts and etc - was baked like high poly geometry with no troubles

     

    In LW there is a free node for baking normal map as diff. map aswell, I think something like this should be for maya

I don't know how Maya about creating UV maps, but in Lightwave I have serious issues when copy\pasting existing polygons with attached UV, they have strange bugs in dr and tdm, meanwhile in LW all displayed good. I have found that when I try to use copies of polys or mirrored polys this trouble has repeated, I solve this only by creating new polygon and adding it to existing UV in this way all is good, but this trouble may be only in LW. Interesting how it be in Maya...

     

    Looking at your table, I think it should be less then or equal 1000 triangles with handles, and about 500-700 without.

     

    For making easy shadow casting, TDM uses Shadow Mesh, if haven't, you can read about it in Wiki, but don't think that SM solves problem with highpoly models. In my case, bed has about 2500 triangles and SM about 800 - when I test it, upper fps was without SM... And in case when model about 500-700 triangles and SM about 200-300 - it works faster with SM...

  9. Try to answer your questions.

     

    1. You have clear list of models because you don't set up Dr to your tdm folder, you can find how to do this on forum, I have no problem with this.

     

    2. About beveling edges - I understand what are you talking about but you have to check UV map when adding bevels to existed models, there can be troubles. Nowadays I think it wouldn't be to heavy for Pc to maintain with smooth edges, but still there are people with low perfomance computers

     

    3. Dr supports diffuse,specular and normal maps.. Reflection for me remains a hard question to understand :))

  10. Models are situated in "tdm_models01.pk4"(this is .zip file with changed extension). If you can't handle with DR or want not to, you can use, for example, training mission - just found in "tdm_models01.pk4\models\darkmod\furniture\*.*" model used in tr.mission and replace it by yours. TDM's engine use ASE and LWO format of 3d models, with triangles only.

     

    I've went through this way month ago, but last couple of weeks haven't any time to continue with my models. If you need some explanations for texturing and importing models to TDM, I can help you with some advice...

     

    I hope to return in modeling,but maybe only after one or two weeks. Even so I looking at forum every day, and still remember how hard to find some information because of not working links to images. In any way there is very good community, and you must remember - if you can't find something, or have some issues and you don't know how to solve them - better way is to ask at forum, it is full of friendly people how always help you if they can ;)

  11. No I mean our private service centers, because HP service center related only in Kyev... And experience to send your techic to capital related Sc is to wait too much time than pay to private in your city :(

    All I said about HP mensioned to our country private SC

     

    About Europe I mean that young one who want to work can find place in Europe today, and other lazy one's just thinking that if we come to Europe in short terms our level of life become like yours, and they do nothing..

     

    Official SC in many cases are even worst than privates

  12. I have bought HP pavilion g6-2390sr with core i7 3620M or something in September 2013. There was trouble with usb ports and in December only one left working. I gave it to Service center and somehow they burned MB, after New Year they buy new one in China, and it's arrived on last week. When they tried to start notebook, was founded that i7 is broken too. Today they promise me to buy new in the end of next week... 3 months without my notebook... Gave me f..kng RV518 with i3... Hate it today!!! Can't work like I need...

     

    And my mouse is Madcatz MMO 7. Was bought only for comfortable working in different programs because of adjustable profiles and 70 or something different functions could be applied... Amazing mouse for people who works in different programs with similar processes - link same functions to same buttons and don't need to switch mind when jumping from one to another.And so I can't install setup program for this mouse on RV518.I wright to support and have answer in 2 hours, now all working like it have to..

     

    Difference...

     

    And this people wants to go to Europe :wacko:

    I really disappointed in my citizens, have 6 years practice of my own business and can say that our people don't want to work principally, and our customers are ungrateful too in most part :(.

    No way to Europe!!!

  13. Very nice mission) Good size for play it after working day and complete..

     

    I missed more secrets in this mission. Say me is it possible to manage with door left from entrance? Because I was trying to shoot in the switch with no result if be true ))) Then I don't know about others, but doors with handles and no opened for me are annoying a little bit... Try to mark them with some notes,maybe..This is habit from other TDM missions, but for me this become some standard -handleless doors)) But all this moments are 5% from complete impression of FM..
