Thanks for your prompt reply Moonbo! I feel a right plonker ,
what I did was pick up the note under the front door.Consequently , when I highlighted the note on the table I was reading the front door note if this makes sense! so I was never seeing the obvious note left for the thief.Before I read your kind hint I'd managed to find the key.must be going bonkers!

Must be me , is there
supposed to be a key to get out of the starting room .am i missing something obvious like his equipment box with lock picks etc in it?
Btw , it took ages to load the game , is this normal?

I don't know where to put this comment as the threads on Elite City have been closed because the ' mission ' has apparently stirred up a lot of angst but just played it through with no crashes or problems and loved it ! Particularly liked the
guards with the wolf heads and loud stomping walking noise. Also the train ride into Elite City. Had fun bumping off the majority of the guards prior to finding the way in.

Interesting , giving it a go but not a great fan of rooftop / climbing missions . Can I ask , why is such a large armory available (fire arrows etc ) when no killing is allowed ? Frustrating having them without being able to blast the occasional nuisance guard. Obviously the gas arrows might come in handy.

Lovely reworking of the original mission , very enjoyable , thank you. Had a problem getting part of the loot i required but guessed it
must have been in the locked wardrobes in the guards quarters.Only found the stolen key by chance in the foundry area when I spotted it from up high after I climbed the wooden thingy in that area.
Interested that in my version anyway after entering
by the water/ moat way , I made my way up to the higher area where the balloon lands .I found all the guards up there dead , shot by arrows. It wasn't me honest guv. On the same theme , the guard captain was giving me the run around. I alluded him and another guard by using the lift.Imagine then my surprise when the next time I tried to use the lift I found him dead inside! Must have been the other thief!!

Thanks Biker and Gold. Had a run of bad health recently and not felt much like playing. Think though i might have a bash at this tomorrow , I've always enjoyed your missions Biker.

You have to move the skeleton aside and then open up the grave.
Now I have to say I'm really getting frustrated.I did try to move the skeleton aside before 161's kind advice.I've tried again but it doesn't seem to be frobable.GRRRR

Do you have to
climb the rocks to find the pesky cave entrance? I've been up there several times to no avail. Also tried moving the stones on the grave and firing the odd fire arrow at rocks , nothing.I'm obviously missing something obvious.

Worked fine , thanks to everyone. One little probably unconnected glitch , couldn't bring up weapons , will check that out when more time !

Inspired by a thread on a here a little while ago I bought a cable to connect my dvi socket on the computer to the hdmi one ( marked to dvi on my Samsung 42" set ) . Unfortunately , I get a lovely picture on the set but no way I can use the keyboard. As soon as I plug the lead into the set my computer reverts to just the wallpaper screen with no way I can use the computer keyboard and mouse. I therefore can't even go to control panel to adjust settings etc. The graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD 4300/500 series. Can anyone please give me a clue to what adjustments i have to make to get started / point out where i'm going wrong.Thank you !

Can't think of ten offhand , but my favorite has to be Glenham Tower, really edgy playing that for the first time.

Ah, for some reason I was having trouble frobbing it. Now I'm just under 300 loot short, and although my ghost target is still good there seem to be an awful lot of excited people about now, so I suspect I should have failed the ghost target by now.
Glad I read this.
couldn't frob it myself for some reason and started wasting my time looking for the key.
Anyone else have the same difficulty as us , maybe you have to crouch or something to hi-light it?

If you head north, there's a connecting archway with two heavy metal barred gates, and an alternative route directly above it, behind the 2 windows.

the double gates before but in the dim light didn't proceed any further cos I assumed it was impassable !

Is there an easy way from
the small slum area to the commons everyone's on about , maybe I missed a corridor or something. Or do you have to use the ropes ( been up there a bit) or sewers?

V Fast wireless is the only option here in our village of Mersham Kent and luckily we fall on the edge of their area. Before i was getting a paltry 1 mbps down with BT , now 9.80 mbps down and 1.46 up but I think we should be able to double that if we up the package.good enough for me though , the BT one was unusable.

Thiefette. You'll be glad to know that thanks to you alone I found it , though what such an important key should be doing in such an obscure place is a matter of conjecture! Obviously an awful lot of other folk found it without problems but unless you were passing that way ( and there are a lot of other ways in ) , you'd miss it. So maybe a weakness in the script and a bit frustrating? But only to someone with my particular problems I guess.Thanks again , getting up before I weld to the computer chair!

I'd very much appreciate a hint from some kind soul as I seem to be stuck. I've
bumped off all the haunts and taken the second seal. Can someone please point me to where I can use it.Is it in the area of this second seal or do I have to go up through the water area with steps again to the higher level? With my usual ineptitude I've used up my supply of fire arrows and holy water. Can I get through the next area by ghosting , as if not I'll replay this bit and see if I can save a fire arrow or two..
By the way , has anyone found a use for the mines , they never seem to work in these missions.I've placed them where the haunts walk and even seen them step on them without the mine exploding. The only good use I've found for them is for blocking doors and stopping them opening thus trapping the haunt / guard or whatever on the other side.
