Guess there is no answer to my glitch
-
Sorry, unless I'm dense. I'm stuck on the bucket in the well. I walk through the rope. Can't climb it. Glitch? I've been having a hard time finding any keys whatsoever.
-
I had to wait until I was at a computer to respond to this so I could check out exactly where all the secrets are.
Here's the list
Secret 6 - A spilled purse of silver coin in a secret area you need to rope down to near the candlemakers shop
I cannot find this. Is it near the 3 pipes?
Nevermind. I found it.
-
For the secrets:
Number 5 is in an apartment high up on the north end of Fletcher street. If you know the tunnel that connects the two streets, as you enter Fletcher street it's going to be the building straight in front of you up on the top floor. You can also enter this apartment by getting up on the roof of the inn from Maple Ct. and jumping on to the lip of the roof in the north west corner. Once inside there is a ladder next to the stove.
Number 10 is in the secret study, under the stairs. You have to frob the wall light fixture in the "main" stairs between the two entrances to the mansion from the streets. The light that is the closest to the ground floor is the one that is frobable (only part of it lights up when you highlight it, easier to see when the lights are turned off).
Hope that helps!
I was in #5, don't know how I missed that.
The way the fixture was described in Lady Harrington's words it seemed like it should be broken or flickering. Probably why I missed it. I was 120 loot short. Have no idea where that could be. I did love the mission. Reminds me of classic thief with all the rooftop climbing. Thanks for making it.

Here's a list of all 11 secrets, just in case anyone gets stuck:
5. A ladder leads to the attic of the "The Raven's" next victim. There's a painting beside some boxes.
10. Beneath the stairs in Duncan's secret study. There's a vase on the floor.
I have no idea where these 2 items are. Also, have no idea about the
light between foyer and main entrance. I was playing on the most difficult and switched to medium. I can't frob any light. Also, the steward's book mentions the church painting, but I could not find anything about it or a way to open it up.

I don't download the mission from sites, but directly in the game. I'm assuming I have the latest one. Forgot to mention Sir Talbot's Collateral is my loading screen. I guess it could have been an older version, but I always assume the one in the game is the most updated.
PS: How can you end the mission manually? Never needed to do so before.

I'm with Demagogue on this. I can't finish the mission. I've done I believe all optional objectives and got a bonus one to boot. When I got to the exit, the character said this was the way out, but it's not finishing when I get to the bars too.
I found several bugs myself, usually with objects going into floors like a stool and getting too high. I was trying to reach several archers in areas, but had no luck.
I didn't think the map was too big. Just needed a bit remembering moving around the town.

Found this mission innovative, but short. If you combined some treasure seeking it would have been more exciting.
After the lava, when I reached the cavern passage, on the right side, I could lean through the wall. Not sure if anyone picked up this glitch.

Ah, you tease. BTW, I have both versions the first and the update. Do I need to play the first release? I did play the first version here. I don't want to lose something good by only playing the update. I wound up knocking all the people out and killing all the undead. Gave me free reign to look about without worry. Fits with your brute force.
I see you say you fixed some bugs. I ran into only one true bug. It was in the room going down that had 3 sort of circles above the door. There are coffins leaning on angles and at the end the coffin is open and standing up. I mantled on top of that one and temporarily went through the ceiling and saw many other rooms for 1 second. I didn't get stuck and it put me below the ceiling, but I just wanted to point that out.

I haven't finished the mission but I can at any time. I've found many ways to get through everything short of 2 areas:
Is there a way to open the room with the helmet and sword? Actually, another question is right next to that area there is a pit covered by a grate, is the grate abled to be opened?
What someone asked I think on page 2 of this thread that no one answered was there is a room gate down with a switch on the left side when you look up those stairs. Is there a way in that? I've tried tunnels and secret passages, but can't seem to find a way in that. It's right next to the room with a ladder to climb on top of a tomb.

I have to say that I only started TDM at the beginning of the summer. It took me a while to get used to many of the aspects, especially the fighting, which I still find difficult. I always play the hardest level unless there are special circumstances where I find it too difficult to finish. In the 5-6 months of playing, I can say I'm an expert for the most part. I've finished the majority of the missions and am hoping new ones come out soon. I've been playing Thief for a good 20 years now, or whenever the 1st one came out. I've played almost every fan mission made for Thief 2, which is my favorite of all the Thief games. I have no mission making skills so my hat goes off to all authors who put out missions for us to play.

I ask because I did ghost it and did not black jack anyone. It would be nice to see those checked off. Forget the loot though, going back I still am missing like 900.
-
Is there a way to see your final objectives checked off after you complete the mission? I was like 1050 loot short. Great game though. Kept me on my toes.
-
Decided to go back and start over. This time I knocked out no one. Finished it, though I didn't find it as entertaining as I knew 2/3 of the mission already. I'm glad when you release a prisoner, they don't get killed by anyone. I was afraid of that happening.

I played the first mission and now on the 2nd. I was very pleased with everything going on. But there seems to be a problem. Like others mentioned, blackjacking before killing the masked guys did me in early on as I forgot about that objective and wound up getting my 3 right in the beginning. But no problem as I've been going through the mission stealthily. That is until all of a sudden I'm getting the objective failed for knocking more than 3 people out. I dropped no gas mines and have not used any other things that I can think of which will knock someone out. So I'm stuck, which I'm not pleased as I've spent the past 1 1/2 hours going through the mission. I may try to load an earlier save and see what happens, or else I'm giving up on this for now.

Just wanted to note that I've found this mission alright. I get an error if I try to break the globes on the generator under the stairs. It kicks me out of the game and says possible overflow of scripts or something. This happened both night 2 and night 3. I haven't found where to drop any of the notes in night 3. I may try and do this, but I find it tedious as a trial and error.
I decided to give it a go. Having serious problems, most likely bugs, so I'm giving up.
It seems I can mark 2 of the 3. The objective complete comes up when holding out the scroll before I drop them. The 2nd marker checks objective complete when I put it on the ground in front of the left side of the balcony. The 3rd marker checks when I put it around the cart in the middle of the balcony. When holding out the 1st marker, the objective complete comes up around the door below the right of the balcony. When I drop it here, it doesn't check off the 1st objective. When I pick up the other 2 markers, the objectives uncheck and I can't get them to recheck, even if I drop them in the same spot. I think someone who beta tested this would have come across these problems. So like I said, I give up on this.

Don't know how I missed that. Finished the mission. Thanks.

Key is not needed to move the lever. At least not in my game.
My game was broken with the gear. When the gear was used, it did not remove from my inventory. If I tried to scroll through other inventory items, my game crashed to windows. It wasn't until I picked up the scroll in the room that my game could continue.

Not sure who Clements is, so I didn't kill him.
If he's the one who guarded the secret area to the ruby, then I can't kill him. I tried holy water arrows and they didn't do anything.

Not sure what to do with the 8 rooms with levers as I can't reach any of the levers to do anything.

I have to say I enjoy this mission but I've run into a few glitches. One was a rope arrow that I put into cross beams that were above an obelisk vanished when I was climbing back down when I jumped off or got too low.
Second and this is extremely frustrating is when I move anywhere, randomly I get stuck in a spot and can't move from it. This can happen anywhere and I'm constantly reloading. Any advice?
