  1. si, sono italiano (Avezzano, AQ). ho trovato il link del I18n e curiosavo nei files .lang, ho anche cominciato a tradurre la training mission ma dovrei conoscere bene i simboli di formattazione del testo e i limiti dei caratteri per riga/pagina. usate qualche tools particolare?

se ti serve una mano a me va bene

Il training è stato già tradotto da me e da un mio amico qualche mesetto fa. :D

    Ecco qui:

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RMR1YWC7

    L'interfaccia fin'ora l'ho tradotta tutta io. :D

E per finire ho tradotto tutte queste missioni:

    http://forums.thedarkmod.com/topic/13001-my-fms-italian-translation/page__hl__%2Bitalian+%2Btranslation__fromsearch__1

Oltre ad esserci 5 missioni già pronte di cui 2 mi mancano da finire. :D

Vediamo di metterci in contatto così ti spego meglio cosa c'è da fare e ci organizziamo. :)

Mi puoi trovare su xfire, steam, msn.

    Cosa preferisci?

  2. how can I help in the Italian translation of TDM? In the ver. 1.07 it is possible to change the language of the missions. If you need help, I am here.

Sei proprio italiano? Se vuoi, puoi aiutarmi nella traduzione delle fan mission. :D

@tels, a question: is the new sistem "stable"? can i begin to translate the mission with the new system? :D

  3. Ended last week.

In my opinion, is one of the best games of the year.

I say this not because I'm a fanboy of Crysis 1 / 2, call of duty, consoles are better than PCs ... etc.

In fact, I consider myself a hardcore PC gamer.

Given also that a deus ex is still the best game I've ever played / finished (four times).

One thing is certain: human revolution deus ex has NOTHING to do with the previous deus ex.

I swear that I tried in every way to find flaws in this game, but it was really difficult. I never bored from first to last minute of the game, and this was surprising. Then, deus ex 3 is a game to be played almost entirely with stealth. You can see from miles that deus ex 3 = Thief. :D

So, probably, who has played Call of Duty style, will be disappointed. All elements of the game suggest that it is highly preferable the stealth. The enemies kill you in 2 seconds. Stunning people get 3 / 5 times more experience points, there are a lot of roads to get to the same zone, the game is easier with stealth, etc. ....

Such as graphics and sound there is little to say. Really well done (played in DirectX 11 to the maximum detail. :D)

I admit that the story is not told well. It is also lower than the first deus ex as complexity, but for those like me who has been able to understand it all can be considered "good."

Then there is the loading problem. In my case it put "only" 7 seconds, but other people have talked about 15-20 seconds. : /

But how do you say that a game that lasts 30 hours is short? it is normal that if one plays ONLY the main missions the game last half of time.

then I read over too easy. It depends, if you play with stealth maybe. Difficult if you play at Rambo mode.

In summary, if you just want the sequel to deus ex 1 / 2, then 3 deus ex is not the right way.

If you want a fps like crysis 2 / cod forget deus ex 3.

Deus Ex 3 is simply a stealth disguised as role-playing game.

In short, for me, there is a full 9.

  4. Mmm, i'm playing this mission now. :D

I have noticed a lot of positive things and also some things done poorly.

-the huge weight of the mission on my pc (i5 760 [quad 3,5 ghz], 4 gb ram ddr3 1600mhz, HD6870, and a fast 7200rpm hard disk).

Even if I get 60fps in large part of mission, at the beginning framerate collapses around 30.

-the fog/lighting system: in any area it seems that the gem of the visibility is always to the max. it seems noon.

    -

when I get the tunnel of the sewer, I had much difficulty in getting on the tube. I even had to take a small crate to climb.

p.s. what is the "slow motion"?

  5. er, I assume you would want me to rerelease the mission with the translated files..?

Mmm. If i well understand the new system, there will be a script that creat itself the new strings/files.

And, i understand that the translated files are in a separeted package, so they are unliked to the mission modification. :D

However, i contact you in any case.

  6. I see that Portguese (I'm guessing brazillian) is about 85% complete. Is anyone currently working on it? Because if it's just for that remaining 15%, I can finish it, I'm sure. I know for a fact that it would be a welcome feature for brazillian players. ;) Where can I take a look at the existing translation? (Sorry if I missed any obvious links)

really 88% represents UNtranslated strings. only 12% have been translated.

p.s. otherwise (i'm italian translator) I still miss the 95% to be translated.

  7. As much as I'd like to agree with you, I'm VERY doubtful.

    Main reason:

    * Does the dictionary method include textures and maps? And even then, what if an author does NOT want his FM to be translated?

Sure, we'll get free access to xdata. But it's largely insufficient for some missions. Have a look at Thief's Den for example. It has a splash screen - that's one texture. It has that nice "PERIL'S COURT" sign. That's two. It has a map. That's three. And it's an effing DEMO MISSION. And I've met a few mappers who were - to put it bluntly - anal about it. While I don't care THAT much about the splash, not being allowed to edit the textures of the map makes translating it a huge waste of time and resources. Because I translate street names, district names, and ALL readables - which include textures. It may be of lesser importance than in Thief, but it's still a hurdle. I don't like messing around with people's IP. Furthermore, as I said, some people do NOT want to hear about having their mission translated. I've met a few. ;)

For ther maps/image problem, tels is working for it. :D

However, if a mapper does not want his map is translated (eeeeeeeeeeeextremely rare), simply do not translate it.

p.s. (i have translate thief's den too. even the image. :D)

  8. Hi all,

For two weeks I've been playing Dark Mod and I must say you did an excellent job. Even more impressive when consider it's fan-made. My congratulations.

Anyway, I think I can help with Polish translation. I don't have any problems with understanding FMs' text, so translating shouldn't be so difficult.

One thing, I'm an ignorant when it comes to programming, mess up with files etc. I can only write translated text in notepad and send it to you. ;)

why not try using a hex editor? so that you can directly translate the polish.lang file without having to create a text file and then Tels should change the strings in the lang file. :D

I suggest notepad++ as hex editor. Wonderful editor. :D

    (Sorry for my English)

there are those who are worse off.(i'm italian)

  9. Nope, that patch don't work either. When I run TDM Launcher as Administrator absolutely nothing happens. No crashes, no nothing :(

I ran the updater and the version is now 1.06, yet notta :(

    Mmm.

    Try this:

When you have clicked on tdmlauncher, click it again. sisi.gif

p.s. if you have the rundll32 process after you click the first time, then this is sure the "cure". :D
