  1. I tried today just because I'm very curious and headstrong: I deleted the doomkey and the xpkey files the insert again the code, then setting them as read only. After a while Doom3 ask it again. The unique way is to stay offline when playing. About audio delay: anabrat@MediaCenter ~ $ aplay --list-devices **** Lista de Dispositivos PLAYBACK Hardware **** placa 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], dispositivo 0: ALC662 rev1 Analog [ALC662 rev1 Analog] Dispositivo secundário: 1/1 Dispositivo secundário #0: subdevice #0 placa 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], dispositivo 1: ALC662 rev1 Digital [ALC662 rev1 Digital] Dispositivo secundário: 1/1 Dispositivo secundário #0: subdevice #0 placa 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], dispositivo 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0] Dispositivo secundário: 1/1 Dispositivo secundário #0: subdevice #0 Since I use HDMI audio out I set both in Doom3 and TDM: seta s_dsp "/dev/dsp" seta s_driver "best" #tried with alsa too seta s_alsa_lib "libasound.so.2" seta s_alsa_pcm "CARD=NVidia, DEV=3" I tried to start Doom3 with the command doom3 +set s_alsa_pcm plughw:0 +set NumberOfSpeakers 2 "$@" too but I can ear audio just with seta s_alsa_pcm "default" I would like to remember you that till now the audio issue is present just in TDM where the main problem remain: missions doesn't start. F.
  2. Thanks but Doom3 is asking for cd code again. Waste of money+time=no fun. I quit. Perhaps I'll try again when Tdm will run standalone. Cheers, F.
  3. Bought for 30R$ (13US$) a used legit 3CD copy on a local store, strangely the cd code was not working (I use another from internet) but now is installed and works fine, TDM not. What a waste of money... Tested with Training mission and Tears of Santa Lucia with the same results: after a while game hangs and the unique thing I can do is force close the window or kill the process if in fullscreen. Level seems to load fine, in the training mission I can see the words "Preparing to start mission, please wait". Additional note: sometime audio is out of sync too, starts after 10-20 seconds. F.
  4. I'm Italian but I live in Brazil. Hard to get something from Amazon UK! Heheheh!
  5. Sure I can buy it but... I prefer pay 10 Bucks to the TDM team when time will comes.
  6. So I'm out of luck till the future standalone version of TDM... I don't have the full game and since doom3 is not my type of game, thief was another thing for me, I'll wait the next update. Thanks for your reply. F.
  7. Same result with R310 (and no HDMI audio), backing to R304 stable. I'm quite sure is not a drivers related problem.
  8. For sure I can try, but other games like Neverwinter Nights or UrbanTerror (based on quake3 engine) works just fine... I'll try again with R310.
  9. Yes, TDM is located on /home/anabrat/.doom3/darkmod/. I have full write/read permission in this folder and I'm using the Nvidia 304.64 driver (R310 kills HDMI audio output). This is the contents of the directory: I tried Doom3 just now (located in /usr/local/games/doom3), but it complains about a missing config file: I think is normal since I've installed the GPL version linked to the install instruction for TDM. F.
  10. Hi there, I discovered this beautiful mod just now and I will love to play it. Unfortunately the game starts but can't play any map, including the training one: the game exits with the message "About to exit with code 6." and no malloc errors. The terminal is full of warnings of missing files (mostly audio) and after a looooooooooooong load time the game just stops working. I use Linux Mint 14 (based on Ubuntu 12.10) but happens with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS too. My system is an Acer Revo 3610 with an Atom 330 1.6Ghz dual core with nvida ION graphic card and 3GB Ram. Some tips? Thanks, F.
