  1. So I got this game on Ebay for 10$ or so. Man what a deal, and what a great game from 2003. (Game of the Year) Who has played this great game? It's got similarities when you are in conversations to Deus Ex.
  2. I use to have dreams about this girl I was in love with. She would haunt me every 6 months or so for like 3-5 years. I eventually got over it and she's gone and I know she has a good life etc. She's not my type though and that's just what I needed to realize.
  3. I was watching Star Trek: Generations and Star: Trek VI this week. Good movies.
  4. Unstoppable

    Fable 2

Hmm this game looks very interesting. http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3166398
  5. You sound like you are claiming perfection, however I believe that is unachievable. Though you can come close. Also I believe in Jesus which means you along with everyone else on this planet is a sinner.
  6. This game is creepy (first one). Thing is I got into the locker room and I had no idea what to do. I think the developers made it a bit too hard to start off because all I had was a flare and no where to go. That's why I never continued and uninstalled. Not a good way to generate interest in your game by making it too complicated.
  7. The models you made are top of the line. Much better than what we have in Thievery that's for sure.
  8. Some of you are very skilled :ahem: and could put that skill to good use. Why not change the face of gaming and help make the first great mod that will push UT 3 where it needs to be? Night-Blade needs your help fellas! http://www.night-blade.com/jobs.html
  9. If they release mod tools this thing can take off like hot cakes.
  10. ebay.com for your arcanum fix . Hmm steam punk steam punk. Found many here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steampunk I was thinking of trying Arcanum but heard it's very buggy.
  11. http://www.gametrailers.com/game/2582.html Your thoughts?
  12. I forced myself to finish it once. There were good parts so it was worth it. What's holding it back are the bugs.
  13. Video games can be many things and one of those things is educational. I love how Company of Heroes recounts what happened in World War 2. Or how Chernobyl is remembered in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. as a horrific event. Not all video games are mindless "escapism" as you call it. Some have a deeper meaning for some people and they are a form of art at least for me. Also video games can bring people together with party games etc and people form friendships around them. They help people socialize and have fun for a little bit. There is nothing wrong in that.
  14. I think you should spend some time playing a game and stop thinking all video games suck because it's simply not true.
  15. Oddity you should really play the game. It is actually original and creative type of game. It is a mixture of rpg and fps along with adventure game.
  16. Finally beat STALKER. The ending was really good as were the answers to the plot. Main problem is getting there can be frustrating cuz of bugs. Soldiers go down to head shots quickly though and sniping is very stable which is great. After about 20 or so portals you get to the ending if you don't go to the wish granter. Gotta find the secret room and what not. here's the guide if you're stuck. http://www.gamespot.com/features/6167656/index.html Was a good game but held back by bugs. However the scripted sequences are fun. Had to load up like 1,000 round of ammunition before heading to finish red forest and then going to the Chernobyl reactor. It was crazy the amount of soldiers I put lead on.
  17. There appears to be a lot of hate toward Bioware right now because they have not fixed the issues and are working on a PC version. Ouch . http://masseffect.bioware.com/forums/viewf....html?forum=125
  18. Ohh hell yeaaah. The PC is Unstoppable so far this year. Assasin's Creed, Condemned 2: Bloodshot, and Mass Effect will get ported the proper way to the PC. :rubs hands in anticipation: http://forums.gametrailers.com/showthread....d=1#post8082546 http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/080212/20080212005536.html?.v=1 Thank you ports. Now I have no need for a console.
  19. Oh I'm glad someone knows what game I'm talking about. The chat was always visible and the 3-D window was not full screen. You would move around with the keyboard really but you could rebind some keys to your mouse to help you look around faster. There was no way you could look all the way up neither. The view was constrained to certain angles at each direction. This changed in it's sequel Spellbinder: The Nexus Conflict. That game was full 3-D.
  20. In the late 1990's there was this gem of a game called Rolemaster: Magestorm. It's not defunct but the spirit lives on in it's cult following. Someone is remaking the game and I would like some of your inputs that you can share to help speed things up. Right now Wolfe the brains behind the operation is trying to get the network code started. Here is a post. http://www.wolvesdenproductions.com/phpBB2...topic.php?t=144 He is using game maker. If you know anything that can help him please drop by and register and let him know. I'm going to try and do some graphic design for him as well. As usual if any of you can provide any character models/animations (even though I know you're all extremely busy) that'd be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Here's info on the original game http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magestorm Some old screen shots here. http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&...mages&gbv=2 It was a pixel graphics game but the spells were rendered looking 3d but were really 2d. Very interesting how things worked back then.
  21. That's cool that you liked the game. Were you able to finish it? Wikipedia.org has all the endings in case you guys are wandering what they do. Currently I'm going to go back to Red Forest and I'm playing on the hardest setting. It's a pain in the ass because of the radiation spots I have to avoid and the constant brain scorcher sending illusions at me. That plus the soldiers in the fort I have to raid. This game is kinda like Halo sometimes in a good way. The bugs are definitely annoying though as you say. I remember I was in the X 16 lab searching for one of the objectives. I lobbed a nade inside where a mutant psychic enemy was at. Not only did I damage the enemy but I blew up the body I was supposed to search. Thankfully I had a save about an hour back but it was a pain in the ass that a bug like this still looms. I'd be wary of STALKER: Clear Sky. I'm taking the wait and see approach simply because GSC released STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl extremely buggy. Who's to say they won't do the exact same thing with Clear Sky? Overall it's been an enjoyable experience. STALKER does what Invisible War failed to do in the "emergent game play" department. There's definitely a ton of random things to be found.
  22. The pistols really are used to damage your enemy lightly while charging up your special. If you manage to charge up your special you can lunge them and often times get a kill or two. The keg is used to clear large groups of enemies and it's the best AOE weapon.
