I think I'm playing this back to front - but I just want to say how impressive this level is - the slum feels maze like and intimidating!

re: not going to see Gridley first
The mission is supposed to still be completable even if you didn't see Gridley first, but that might mess up the ring objective (which is only mandatory on Hardcore). Not sure what happens in that case...you might still be able to finish by dropping the ring and picking it up again after visiting Gridley. But the storyline certainly isn't going to be as easy to follow if you don't do that objective first, like the objectives tell you to.

Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. We have located the bug with the gem recording The Dark Mod and a fix has been included in the new Fraps 3.4.4 release.

Found this bug playing the new version of "The Beleaguered Fence" (but maybe it's related to ALL FM) in TDM 1.05.
If I press ESC during "briefing videos" I return to menu but there's NO cursor!

Well.....I post my last days idea here, so no need of new topic.
What about a "takedown move" jumping from the top of a pile of crates or something > "certain height" on the head of an NPC to knock him down (not kill)?

IMHO this mission needs an "extended version" like Bikerdude did to RTTC.
Maybe a sewer access to a more complex warehouse, a secret room in the first building (maybe more floors, a second floor+cellars), obviously more loot, etc.....it would be great extend it!

Sweet mission, but I wish it didn't include that in-game cutscene. Cutscenes and non-interactive scripted sequences in general have no business in games anymore IMO, much less a thief clone such as TDM.

I start the mission @expert difficulty (1000 loot), but in game the loot objective are @hard (800 loot)

I think I found a "flow" error too:
If I read the Fredo document AFTER found the cache, the relative objective appears but cannot be accomplished.

lowenz, use an older version of FRAPS. Newer isn't always better. http://www.oldapps.c...hp?old_fraps=31 Never heard of anyone having a problem with FRAPS.

Found the cause! It's FRAPS 3.4.0 when recording!
Maybe it's interfering with the framebuffer?
Must find another video recorder now, sigh!

Update: strange thing! Removed Tels addon, reinstalled the FM, reinstalled the addon and now all seems correct! :|

That is definitely not normal. Is this happening in any other FM'S? Something is interfering with your lightgem somewhere. Do you have any stray mods installed? Have you tried deleting the mission and downloading a fresh copy from the mission downloader?
Also, I don't know if this is just the video making the level look dark...but could you open the D3 console ctrl alt ~ and check to make sure image_usenormalcompression is 2, image_usecompression is 1, and image_useallformats is 1.
