  2. hello ive just finished a Small map with the saintlucia assets, i dont know if this is good enough for beta mapper position since ive seen better stuff made with thiefs den assets, or even doom assets only. but maybe it helps if i tell you that the only thing ive modded for (before darkmod) is oblivion, wich only uses objects and no brushes. ive been fooling around with radiant for about 3 weeks, and when the saintlucia came out i decided to make something working and here it is. http://www.2shared.com/file/4186616/f515344a/MyMap.html i would be very glad if you told me what you think. there ar alot of bugs like some patches are to thin so some part of them get invisible and such. but i hope it doesnt spoil the fun :] and i hope you enjoy this small map as much as i enjoyed making it. the max loot is 700 also . thanks also for thoose who helped me on the forum :]. ok now i think ive got nothing more to say
  3. weird now it works :/, and i have done no changes for it? but now when i try to open up my map i get some cd key thingy, and it doesnt allow me to enter enough letters. :/ i've seen this on the forum ssomewere but i cant recall were. i know im not the first one to have this problem.
  4. yes :] sry for not being clear :/ im trying to open up saintlucia to open a map that ive made myself, but i cannot even open anything up, ill try to be as clear as possible, i got to my desktop i doubleclick the saintlucia icons, then i get the the darkmod screen that comes before the menu but right before i get to the menu i get the error. Flanders: are you sure you used the right patch for doom 3? Use the one on the wiki. no i didnt uses the one on the wiki. but i downloaded the one from the wiki, not so long ago and when i try to run it it says setup could not determine the current version of your doom 3 installation. please verify that the game has been properly installed. i think thats because i already have the lates patch?
  5. i cant open up anything, i just switched from windows vista to windows xp and and when i then i try to open up saintlucia to test my map, i get the error, before i get to the menu. edit: so i double click the saintlucia shortcut and i get to the darkmod screen that comes up befor you get to the menu there i get the error.
  6. i've got vista and it works fine everything, but now i have moved to an xp computer it doesnt work . anyway, you could tell them (i said them because i believe i cannot help you since i really suck in this kind of things) whats the problem. and im not the first to say this but they use alot of their time to work on this mod/toolset so you could be a little nicer?
  7. í tried top open up saintlucia to test a map ive made, and then i get a runtime error it says Runtime Error! Program: c:\games\doom3\DOOM3.exe This application has requested runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more infromation. i have patched d3 and i think i have downloaded the c++ script library, ill try to download it again but i think i already have, if it doesnt work, what should i do? Edit: oops i think i asked in the wrong section (?)

  10. no im not modifying the saintlucia.map i wanted too look at it since there was a couple of things in saintlucia that i wanted for my map but didnt know what to do. you can look at the map if you want to i uploaded it on this uuhm Topic, on the first page. it says its a leak and the pointfile doesnt find it.
  11. im using Darkradiant yes :] its much more easier than the doom3ed IMO (x]) weird there is no compile button, there is : find brush.... map info.... difficulty... objectives.. edit:im using snapshot, could that be the reason? or am i just looking in the wrong place
  12. yes you're assuming right :] i didnt know you could do it in the editor? were ? how? im sry im coming with this totally lame question but ive heard it everywere on internet forums and such what does "imo" mean? x]
  13. the problem could be caused by the Well thingy i made since after that things started to get weird. since i merged the well to the outer box that is supposed to prevent from leaking. i think there might be were the problem started.

  15. alright. so ill delete all the .proc files etc and just keep the .map or ill make a backup. it will most likely fail. but i will see what i get.
  16. ok the last thing i remember that i had added rain, and it didnt come up like i thought it would, so i deleted the rain and rainsplash brushes, and then i checked in game maybe just 5 minutes later, and the rain was still there. edit: and after that brushes didnt show up.
  17. but i recently added ai to the map and it shows up correctly
  18. but its weird because when i add models and objects, they show up fine but changes with brushes wont show up, but their collision is there. so i should not dmap it?
