  1. i'm also in for some modelling ..if there's something left i'll take the broomstick, door knocker and goose.
  2. ok..didn't know that.. well i've added the shape around the model. Assigned the common/clip texture to it but it doesn't show up in the editor or work ingame. Did i forget something?
  3. The shader in the .md5mesh points towards the .mtr file in the materials folder. So if the material file stays in the materials folder it's fine. But if you place textures and md5 files somewhere else you'll have to check the paths of the material file and def file. oh and another thing.. the model is not solid, it probably needs a clip model around it when placing.

Still have a version with one object. i'm now using an older version of maya (5) which i know works with exporting..but not yet for this model I'm getting some kind of "getpolygonUV failed" error which i gues means it has to be something with the uvmap but i can't figure it out...yet. Other models work just fine. "fixed: finally exporting "
  6. update i re-did the uvmapping and texturing. So that's finished but the only problem is exporting the animation. I have an animated version which a gentle swinging pendulum but i could't find an md5 export plugin for maya 7 . Anyone know where or how? Also i made the pendulum a separated object, animated and combined the 2 objects again to a single object, don't know if it works...
  7. alright i'll animate the swing. But to let it show the proper time would require some scripting?
  8. i'll work on the textures. I also think the quality of the texture is a bit low. The resolution is now 512x512 but it has many parts which loses some details after texturing. I already scaled some parts up like the clock to make it look more sharper. i think the pendulum could hold still. So no problem with synchronizing/distracting sounds. I'll add some polies to the back for the shadow problem. Do you think the size is ok?
  9. it could swing.. then it also needs a sound attached. or if it's down i can make it look more broken. It does have specular, very little on the wood, and you can see it clearly on the pendulum.
  10. just before the new year.. I started earlier skinning this model(not mine) but other things came in between... i already finished uv mapping. so this week i continued texturing. Also doing normalmaps was tricky using ORB but usefull.

  12. uhh...which one pays the most? I think it would be great to work on the campaign ... but I also like to try things out. Since there's not really a big difference now between the two I would gladly do some mapping and later do some work for the campaign. Does that mean becoming a team member?
  13. Well I am a animation student. I made projects with some 3D animation in it but it's just a start. Soon im getting 3D character animation the right way. So yes I can do some small animations but not (yet) very compilcated ones (still have to learn the techical side).
  14. are there already campaign maps being made or are there any plans for making them? Because from what I understand now is you first want to release the tools so others can also build there own missions and later on the team will be building their own campaign if i'm correct. also do the mappers work from a concept (story/drawings) and build a map around it or are they still trying things out?
  15. Nope it's just the end of the map. I think I should have made a credit screen or something so people know it was the end. There are still some bugs that need to be fixed/improved.
  16. Hi you guys, finally found some time to post something here and read your nice comments I was already very impressed by the works that you guys were showing from this mod. I think it's also my kind of style, doing old fashion buildings and stuff. That's also why I made the mansion look more classic. If I can contribute to this mod in some way or another, just let me know where I can help. squill
