I find that pixelated look silly as well. If then do it like Gloomwood: Less detailled graphics. But, not that ridiculous Minecraft look.
Don't think it would actually bother me that much in game though.

Is that Thief Gold or Thief 2?
Make sure you do the following: Install Thief Gold. Start Thief Gold one time, if you have it on Steam, so that it creates/updates the install.cfg. Install TFix (preferrably the Lite version, as, obviously, some mods don't play well with the full TFix with mods). Set up Thief after that, resolution, control scheme etc. Then open the cam_mod.ini in the Thief Gold root directory, and remove the ";" before "fm" in the "always start the FM Selector (if one is present)" section. Next time you start Thief Gold, it should show you the FMsel loader (and, hopefully that error message is gone), which lets you load the FM.

As far as I understand (and as it is for sale on Steam), it already is released.

I don't see a lot of stealth gameplay either.
The graphics are alright, no issue with that.
Guess I'll buy it.

Just FYI: Humble Bundle has Sony Vegas Pro Edit 19 for very little money on offer: https://www.humblebundle.com/software/vegas-pro-creative-frontier-bundle-software?hmb_source=&hmb_medium=product_tile&hmb_campaign=mosaic_section_1_layout_index_1_layout_type_threes_tile_index_2_c_vegasprocreativefrontierbundle_softwarebundle

Grats to the release. Will be the next thing I play after I finished The Black Parade.

Sorry, I confused the TTLG users then.
I'm about 2/3 of the first mission of this campaign. It's great, fantastic level design. Difficulty is nice, not too hard. Haven't encountered any bugs thus far, although the ability to roll back banners seem a bit glitchy. I guess you have to approach them from a specific angle (to the right of the banner).
Overall, really impressive. I have only ever played 2 or 3 Thief 2 fan missions, and, they weren't nearly on this level.

I just found out that this is by the guy who did level design for Dishonored (for the Flooded District levels, I think?), which raised my interest level from low to very high. Never really played FMs on Thief Gold or Thief 2, so, I'll have to check out how it works again...

Looks like an interesting game. I'll buy when it is cheaper.

Nothing wrong with that. It's been a while.

... and it forced you to play the same area again and again and again.
Well, to each his own, but, that's not a gameplay that I enjoy.

You're right, of course. Apologies.

I know an awesome way to restrict saves, which works in every mission: Just save when and where you want to.
I know, I know, people who want to be restricted need to be restricted by the mission or the game. Unfortunately, that also restricts the people who want to save. So, it's pretty much a lose for one side (most likely the bigger side), instead of a win-win with the save system the game provides.

By the way, you should also give the System Shock 1 Remake a shot. While its probably best enjoyed, if you already played the original, it's still a great game anyway.
I loved it. Awesome game.
I faceplanted at the people who asked for quest markers in the Steam forums there... Herr, lass Hirn regnen. The game is so great, and so true to the original, because it doesn't hold your hand. When is the new breed of gamers gonna learn.

My brother played System shock 2 but I did not.
But my vague memory says Prey is a game of the very same kind.It absolutely is. No coincidence that a member of this forum talked about "System Shock 3" in regards of Prey.

Both are quite good.

Shame on me, I played that one not long ago, and don't remember.

Why not just implement lethal and non-lethal mission objectives, like in Dishonored? That should already be possible in TDM.
I agree that killing should always be the last option. It always was in the original Thiefs. "Killing is the mark of the amateur".
Although I'd also refrain from these inhumane non-lethal options in Dishonored... turning the genius into a retard, or cutting someones tongue out, and letting him work in a mine for the rest of his life seems more inhumane than just killing him. At least I felt pretty evil doing that.

It would be great if you guys could use the spoiler tag in your posts, as some of us haven't played the mission yet...

The spambots are getting better. Even a more or less realistic thread title.

Just finished this. One of the easier missions except in that nightmare realm. I couldn't find all the loot for a change.
Do you usually find all the loot in TDM missions? I rarely to never find all loot, unlike in the original Thiefs.
TBH, I can't even remember if I ever found all the loot in any TDM missions. The mission authors seem to have a thing for very hard to find loot.

That's the way it's gonna be with most of the giveaways. If it's something amazing I've played, I'll note it. Even Epic Games giveaways are mainly junk until December.
Epic Games just had Q.U.B.E. 1 and 2, and The Evil Within 1 and 2, which are amazing freebies.
