    anyway it is finished now, got arms legs a sword and a shield and now i am going to animate it using doors to make some kind of platforming thing to the mouth,

    -the hat idea is very good it is looking very cultic

    -but for loot i would have to simplify it a ton

  2. I am in the making of a model wich was a enterance trough his mouth in a underground temple but then i thought this is good enough to be a model for a new wherewolf type.

    so before i continue building is anyone interested in this model? to maybe attach to an entity? then i make a base shape out of the arms and legs so it looks good in every position, otherwise i have to do double work.

  3. yes I know, but what if i cant make the top have a water texture because it is under a slope side of a boat, or what if it is triangular?

     

    also i have problems with making water in a cave it seems that when a certain amount of brushes are in the water brush, the water simply stops working, you just fall trough.

  4. i am building from scratch now, making new map segments, i was just wondering if i can make brushes in to water without need of a texture like for under a boat.

    the channel is quite narrow for the boat hull to be cut with it having a surface side wich i can texture...

    simply said there are brushes that dont have a surface side.

  5. i removed most of of the shitty prts of the map and made realy nice defence walls, that lead to a underground loading dock.

     

    now i kinda need help, how do i make water around my boat without using a water texture

    i cut neatly around my boat but some brushes do not surface so, how do i resolve this?, and on the left side of the boat the water is simply not working.

    i am supposed to be able to get to the hole in the wall.

    i got back to building i deleted the entire floor, in order to visportalise the area i will rebuild the entire thing probably deleting the mill, it just to high and gives to much vision over the area.

    but the readable was supposed to written by a moron,

    only acces for hired workers, bribing guards will get both parties death penalty

    It is not THAT bad, it is just that i cant fix it properly since none of the stuff you see was in my original vision, of what it should have been.

    first it was one big area, but you cant have a skybox that big, then i spitted it in two cropped bthe box some more, and the only thing i could do was put rocks around it, so the quarry was born.... that was where it started to suck. and gradualy went down.

    i could rebuild it again in smaller areas, but i dont realy want to, in the end it works and i would be happy to leave it, i am just worried about all the ppl suiciding off the top of the mill. :)

  8. my first mission is finished, it is quite short, it (quite sucks) but i needed the intro in to the city and had to make alot of compromises, i had to rebuild it a few times and ran in to every problem the engine could have, i learned alot doing so,.. it will be a 5 or even 6 mission campaighn, released in loose missions, currently working at nr 2 wich is alot better, you will see it in a few weeks.

    so this is the intro to my campaighn, it is far from perfect, i had to rebuild it 3 times, had do make alot of compromises on what i had in mind acctualy so many compromises that it dous not reflect half of what i had in mind, then just decided to finish it as it came out, now i know what the lmimitations of the engine are so the next parts are more qualitative. and better segmented.

    i just need someone to take a look at the briefing, and bring the thing to the right place, many thanks.

    i think it needs a bit of work and testing though,

    and i realy think the readables editor messed up the path, of my readable when you rename your map the readable is not adjusting, and if you then try to create another xd file it just writes behind the old text wich was still refering to the old map name.

    and i wasd not supposed to type betueen the <.........> fuck i am stupid :)

  12. I cant acctualy adjust that, the os puts .zip behind it automaticaly even if the file name ends .pk4 the acctual path will show .pk4.zip , i am not even sure if that is the problem, i sure hope it is something as easy as that.

    i dont understand, i did everything right, i even looked at maps of other ppl it all looks legit, the readables not functioning is something strange to, i realy dont know what it is.

  13. my old pc was a 3.4 single core, with a 6600GT AGP 4GB DDR333

    the onboard graphix are not even used, the 7750 outpreforms the onboard, even with sli, everything is running realy smooth in almost max graphix, i could still change the cpu, when necessary, for now i am not even running it in turbo mode and i have no preformance issues at all, baby butt smooth.

     

    mpy first mission is almost finished, just a few more days. ;)

Acctualy i am not new, i made a 2 hour campaighn, i just never could finish a map, lag issues, testing it was a bitch to, slow loading, trying to make a storage map for all my costumized furniture and items was almost impossible nothing reacted fast enough after reaching a certain entity count, i reached boiling point. :angry:

  15. Hi all it has been a long time since i have been here,

    to make a long story short, my computer sucked, i couldent play or edit anything anymore on my 3.2 single core with 6600gt :) si decided to build myself a new one worthy of editing software so i went on the web to make myself a 300 euro PC since i am poor and ppl dont leave their windows open at night.

    Anyway it turned out i was very successfull of acctualy making a semi high end pc for 440 euro

    screen and keyboard not included the keyboard i had laying around was a new in the box Microsoft wired keyboard and mouse, and the screen is from my old pc wich will use a tv when it is converted into a Mame cab.

    So this is what i found-

     

    - AMD A8-5600K QUADCORE 3.6ghz 3.9 at turbo

    - 8Gb DDR3 1866mhz

    - 1 TB sata600 6GBps transfer western digital

    - and a HD 7750 1gig ddr5 from sapphire 89 euro on ebay new and warranty'd

    - This go's in a zalman case on a asrock motherboard with a buttcheap samsung dvd player and a 20 EURO 500 watt powersupply.

     

    This will surely kick the shit out my old system, and maybe i can finaly have more then 2 screens open at one time and finish my camaighn, i know the technology of doom 3 is old by now but i think it is still fine looking, and i will continue with it.

    Nice to see all the new stuff and new maps, il be sure happy to play them.

    And i will make sure you will like mine.

  16. After looking back I got them all instantly, so obvious, lol.

     

    Except the last bottom/right. Seems like a cowboy far right, but I don't get the yellow stripes.
