  1. If bet neytrality goes, the freedom of the Internet goes with it. We need to do EVERYTHING in our power to show Ajit Pai that he better stop this nonsense, and if he doesn't, then we'll make sure the rest of his pathetic life is miserable and suffers from eggings, dogshit being smeared on his car windows, keyscratched car, prank calls delivering 50 pizzas to him, etc...

  2. Do the new magic users of TDM Universe study under more experienced mages as proteges, or are they taught at a magic college school like in Skyrim or Hogwarts? And if it's the latter, what sort of treasures might there be for a master thief to steal?

  3. A remake of Thief Gold with modern tech would be epic. At least the Dark Mod is here. Shame Springheel hasn't made a main mission campaign yet to "cement" the setting, as it were. Something to drive home the idea of "this is what the series is about".

  4. Without getting all angry and saying "I'd rather they didn't" or the like, if they decided to make a Thief 5, but the Eidos Montreal team listened to real old school Thief series fans for gameplay mechanics and plot advice, what would you like to have happen on Thief 5 to salvage the series? If this was the last chance to fix the Thief series, and it could be done, what would your advice regarding it be?

  5. Autists are not mentally deranged or suffering from intellectual disability. Kind of not nice of you.

    It isn't their fault.

It's not nice of you to assume I meant that. It's a social program that helps people like ME, who actually does have high functioning autism, to make friends and learn how to socialize with others. It's a state program in New Hampshire.

  6. When I envision a ghoul in TDM, I think of the apparitions in Thief. They were the creatures that creeped me out the most when I was a kid. Yeah, the zombies sounded scary, but the apps were worse. Also, they had ranged attacks (and pretty good aim too).

I think a monster inspired by those would be a better direction to go than another zombie.

But a ghoul is a form of corporeal undead, as in solid flesh and bone. Weren't apparitions ghosts?
  7. Meh, the steam version might be different from the current version. I'll wait for the official release. Besides, I can wait a year, I'm about to start a new job program shoveling horse shit for a living and spending my weekends hanging out with other high functioning autistic people in a program.

  8. A point made by people is that they don't remember which Doom 3 creature the ghoul enemy was a reskin of. I believe it may have been of "boney", the unique fast zombie from the beginning of the Doom 3 campaign. That doesn't matter as much now that the game uses its own unique models, but it made me wonder, what made boney different from the other zombies? For starters, he was less damaged, quicker, and moved with an almost Apelike gait, loping and half-hopping after you.

So, if anyone wants to make a ghoul model, the key difference should be speed and an appearance that contrasts the slow, desiccated corpse look of a Dark Mod zombie with an alive yet diseased, more animalistic movement speed.

  9. I don't know how to do advanced computer stuff. Plus, a steam release would allow me to play it easier without the hassle of setup for every little detail. That, and my little brother likes to play Team Fortress 2, and I don't play with him as much as I would like to, so maybe I can get him interested in the Dark Mod too when it is released on steam.
