  1. I think it's for good. In best case (game would be success and praised by players and critics) we would have new installment in franchise. In worst case (game would be failure and banned by the most) we would have new installment in franchise. Possibly new faces will appear in community.

As for "Thief is female" - I don't care. There are Thief 2X and TDM's own Goldwell's mission Noble Affairs so it's not a problem. Making 1998-2004's Garrett some kind of relic from ancient times is not that bad. I have no VR so I hope for non-VR rerelease and/or new non-VR/VR optional game in franchise.

Cool, though I've heard mixed opinions about first two games.

I have some fun with Spirited Thief. It's not FPS or TPS, it's top-down stealth turn-based tactics in style of Invisible, Inc.: you control several thieves who are breaking into mansions and hideouts and steal artefacts from them. Guards become gradually aware of you from turn to turn. You can peek through the windows, keyholes, rob or KO guards, search for secrets etc. The main differences from Invisible, Inc. is that maps are handcrafted and not procedurally generated and also there is friendly ghost who makes some reconnaissance at the beginning of each mission. The setting is similar to Thief and Dark Mod though: semi-fantasy/steampunk city with nobles, thieves' guild etc.

  3. So I think we can count 12 or 14 missions depending on our opinion of La Banque Bienveillante and Sneak and Destroy. If these two reissues are counted as new missions (as JarlFrank did here: https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=152035), then we have 14 missions. If not, then 12. Personally, I don't consider them new missions, so 12 in my opinion. Have no problem with other opinion. In any case, last year was productive!

  4. I have no real favorites, some time ago it was one list of some missions, now it would be other.

    Several years ago (circa 2017-2018):

    • Penny Dreadful (especially, 3)
    • House of Locked Secrets
    • Return to the City
    • Lich Queen's Demise
    • No Honor Among Thieves
    • Full Moon Fever

    Now:

    • Painter's Wife
    • Hazard Pay
    • Volta and the Stone
    • Chronicles of Skulduggery 1-3
    • Perilous Refuge
    • Iris

New missions don't "destroy" previous, but time flies and they sometimes do something new, and can be more accessible, though I may return and replay older works, older favorites. Perhaps, it would be even more interesting to see what are the best missions for newcomers, both well-designed and accessible.

  5. I also have problem with Bleda's deposit box. It seems a bit overcomplicated (including finding way to the vault with this drunken guard) and I cannot figure out what to do with this code.

    Spoiler

The panel has 4 digits, and when I input 69 and pull the lever, nothing happens except for door opening sound. I managed to pick up Women's lockup key through the wooden surface but it feels like cheating.

Either I do something wrong, or some script doesn't work...

  6. Well, I not often play TDM but understood it. I think it is subjective things - I for example didn't manage with that empty room and that vent I asked earlier.

Lost huge chunk of loot. Very good city mission, smallish in size but densely packed with everything (I like occasional small puzzles and also - how those stories of locals are interwoven) but I suspect that loot goal is quite steep.

Edit. Sorry, didn't notice that loot objective was optional.

    Spoiler

Looks like I found Jenson and Everett in present

  7. Vozka:

    a) about code - are you talking about Clifton's house in present?

    Spoiler

There are two readables - one below  the table (hard to notice at first) and one in a room near (some children's poem or whatever)

    b) for basement safe -

    Spoiler

when you are leaving Carla's house, you need to look up - there would be vent.

  8. Very nice city  mission. Rather on smallish side but densely packed with sometimes very unobvious routes, and compartments. I like the idea of time travel albeit stealing content

    Spoiler

of Clifton's safe twice (both from the safe in the past, and from that thief downstairs in present iirc)

    was a bit much.

    I ask about

    Spoiler

that safe in the museum's basement: where is the key? That vent lead me only to apartment with empty room. Should I do something with those switches?
