How about no? Can't DR/TDM handle millions of polys?

Well, you could check it you know... Pick up a FM with the most complexity in a scene and use r_showprimitives to check what the triscount is. KM starting scene had a lot of tris. RttC had also some complex views. The question how much DR can handle is probably not important.

If the problem is with DR, you can shuffle some architecture (like decorations, or segments of your build) off into layers, which takes a lot of load off of weaker configs.
