  1. We all love you long time, its true! To a fantastic mod, hands down. You guys have done a wonderful job, you should be proud of all your hard work. I wish we could throw a dark mod party, seriously. I'll host it. I've been itching to throw a killer party. :wub:B)

  2.

the major addition is the women and their voice packs.

I'm working on that as we speak, I'm trying to get these done as soon as I can. I'm at the half way point on the vocals, takes time. I'll go as fast as I can! I want to see the new release very soon too. :)

  3. Eventually you'll get bored and have to do TDM again. I know it. ;) Thats mainly the reason for myself I can't and won't do any sort of inline skates, skating boarding etc. If I screw up my hands, I'm screwed, for work. I need my hands.

Hey did the drugs help you?

  4. At my local antique shop I go to, there is a vintage mechanical arm, I have no idea what that thing went to, its cool as hell though. If you'd like me to look into it, get some info, I'd be happy to. That can be your back up. :P

  5. Agreed, it will be interesting to see what REALLY happens, and what the game will produce, and be like. Its like this with every release, TONS of speculation. We'll just have to wait and see. If it sucks, we still have TDM as our Thief 4.

  6. Mortal Monkey posted this over on TTLG about Thief 4. Between Thief 2 and The Dark Mod, do we really need another game to make FMs for anyway? I don't see FMs being churned out for TDS. The campaign to get the editor released are a bit embarrassing at this point. There have been more FMs for TDM in the last year than there has for TDS in the last five.

And jtr7 quoted Eidos's VIKTORIA about the length of the game.

As for the magazine reporting that T4 would be 10 hours long... it's up to you if you wish to spend your time reading this third-party information and it is also your prerogative if you wish to believe it. This kind of press is prevalent everywhere, for all forms of media, so it is unlikely to damage EM's reputation. Really, the proof is in the pudding - so just wait until you here OFFICIAL information about the game.

Both of which for speak, pretty much sums it up.

  7. Thats looking good. :) Like the variation in the color, the shading, looks good. I know this is a learning process, what about at some point in time, varying the leaves themselves. Right now, they all look so perfect, no leaves are the same anyway, and you know that, but, I just had to say it. Make some dirty leaves, some torn leaves, it would greatly add to the over all look.

  8. Had to leave RC for a while because no matter how great it looks I got stuck and don't see how to proceed and anyway I can't resist looking at another FM.

I got Rocksburg 1, 2, and 3 - disappointed to see 4 is still not finished. This guy has been working on this 6 mission campaign since about 2004 I think (1 was released in 2005.) It was the one I remember. 1 has the glorious cramped city and starts overlooking some roof and chimney smoke and lovely city sounds which, as I've said, was the inspiration for the sounds in Thief's Den. They really add life to an FM.

I'm not one for replaying FMs especially since there are so many I've not played so I skipped forward after 20 minutes to 2. Again, it's one I played before so after a while I skipped to 3.

This has a keeper compound which 'feels' and looks better to me than the one in TDS. It is dark and grimy and strange. Huge library and desks everywhere. It's kind of a cross between a Victorian 1984 and Harry Potter feel to me.

The lighting in Thief interests me because it looks good but even with dark textures I can clearly see all the main details around an area. Yet there is good contrast so it's not that the ambient light is too high. In Dark Mod I wonder if some of this dark detail would be lost at this level of ambient. Well, I'm looking at a well lit Thief FM, I certainly remember ones that were flat and too high an ambient.

I adore DrK's work, he is superb, and a great story teller. I helped test his last mission, that for me was like testing a fine wine. I had so much fun testing that mission. He was so open to suggestions, we had some really WEIRD bugs to deal with. Nothing like testing for a great author, it was a privilege.

  9. On the Eidos comm chat, not the regular comm chat, back in the day, when it was busy in the cripple burrick. We had a great group of guys that were really the first ones to perfect ghosting, and the varied extremes of it. Sneak was the one that started it all. He was able to ghost the golden child in T2 by letting his system run over night, and nudging and waiting to get past that little creep, he did it, and had screen shots too. Been a really long time for that.

Supreme is unseen unheard, no busts, keys put back, shut doors, no use of ammo, hard core man. I'm too lazy for that. :P
