  1. Well, another post. I'm done for the night. I decided to try god mode, and no clip, I was finally able to snag the potion. I don't know if its intentional to make it difficult to grab, but it was difficult to grab it. Crouched did everything, Leatherman was watching too, he even said it seemed difficult. Flew out of there, took off god mode, and no clip, it must of broke that object. Drank the potion, nothing happened.

    I'll just have to try it again tomorrow. Good clean fun!

  2. One more post, I feel really stupid for asking this but. Where is the potion? I am down by the Alchemist right now. This is a great FM, have had a lot of fun playing this one. So much to see and do, lots of details, job well done! Things just keep getting better and better with the FM's, thanks guys for all your hard work. :)

     

    I do see a potion by

    the body on the floor, I can't grab it. When you first open that door, that scream was unnerving, nice touch.

     

    Any help would be appreciated.

     

    One thing I did, as a little experiment, I was hoping for better results. I was having fun with the arsenal in the inventory. I set down 3 mines, and lured some of the AI into the mines. I'd already taken out two of the skeleton's with holy water. I made enough noises with the mines, that brought down the guards. One was patrolling, searching for me, and yet he would do nothing to the Alchemist. I was so hoping he would. :rolleyes::P It was fun to try anyway. Damn those spiders are UGLY!

  3. I've been playing a bit of catch up on the FM's. I have to say Sotha, I love your style. Anything you make, I'll play it. Keep doing what you are doing. You've got the whole ball of wax, in construction, story, ambients. I love your use of sounds BTW. Well done, and not just looping of the same sound. I do wish authors would get away from looping sounds, its annoying and does nothing for game play. I'd rather have silence than a looping sound. Your use of AI, the patrol patterns. Then the element of surprise, which is always a plus in my book. Its the little things that makes the difference from a good FM to a great FM. Keep up the good work. The ending of this, surprised the hell out of me, loved it. :) The FM's overall keep getting better and better. I find myself looking for more and more now. Its been a pleasure gentlemen. :) You need a tester, look me up. I've been testing over at TTLG for years now as well.

  4. I had fun with this one too. Got stuck at the beginning, by the wired cage, got stuck off to the side, I moved the crate, had to reload.

     

    The spiders, I couldn't believe I was able to.

    walk on the spider web!

    That just seemed a bit....odd.

     

    The room you where the bridge is in, you also used it in your screen shot. You like mushrooms don't you? lol. Seemed a few too many, it started to look like wallpaper, and not randomly grown shrooms.

     

    Good climbing, had to retrace my steps a couple of times, found the way to go. Could of been a bit tighter on the story end of things, overall, good job. :)

     

    I am guessing the strobe light room is a form of punishment? Or does the dude go in there himself, and that is what drives him mad. hah.

  5. I am nearing the end of this wonderful FM, and having an absolute blast playing this. I'm a huge horror fan, this is so well done. Great atmosphere, the AI patrol was just right. Love the owl sounds outside, nice use of ambients. I did mainly a lot of ghosting up until I entered the room to get the sphere. Then I went to town on the haunts and the zombie.

    I LOVE these screen shots. Especially the first one, that stance is awesome! I used a fire arrow to take down two of the haunts, one more with a mine, that one was lit up like a christmas tree. I had to put him out with a water arrow, he lit up again! lol. Last 3 AI I took out with holy water.

     

    I do hope you'll consider something for Halloween. :wub:

  6. I actually posted in that thread but didn't get any response from anyone on the list. Who knows if it's even current.

     

    I suppose a post in the FM forum would be a good idea.

     

    I've done enough voice work over the years at TTLG. Let me know if you're interested. I've done my own high profile work as well.

  7. Why he persists in this is nothing but troll behavior, he has nothing better to do. If he would of let people help him, he would of gotten his issue fixed. He blames the game, end of story. He wouldn't even let the possibility enter his feeble brain that the problem might be on his end. His arguments failed. He didn't want the help and just trashed mouthed everything. Thats his fault for not *getting it* and not accepting the help. I'm all for a good debate. This was not the case.

     

    I'd ban his ass if he were on Black Cat Games. I'm being honest, and not sure why you just don't ban his IP range, if he comes back, ban again. Ban his IP, its not worth keeping him around and disrupting the forum. What is the point of doing an admin approval? That doesn't make sense, and is too laid back in my opinion. I know you didn't ask for my opinion, but, you will have other shit heads that will eventually come in and disrupt things, and it bothers me to see this happen. I cannot help but, stand up and say something to help you guys and defend you for all the hard work you've done! :)

     

    Black cat has simple rules, you can't follow them, after a warning, you're gone. I've looked around on here, do you guys have an FAQ? I didn't find it. Sorry if I've missed it. These are black cats FAQ's, we tweaked these to make them simple, no long drawn out explanations. At least we have them, and do refer to them from time to time. As the word gets out about the dark mod, you guys will have more people and more problems to deal with. Something to think about it.

     

    No flames or personal attacks!

    While heated discussions and arguments are okay, avoid direct personal attacks on other forum members. There is a certain level of acceptable banter, but do not cross it -- respect the wishes of others and warnings from the moderators.

  8. Anything I can do, let me know. :) The guard just happened to follow me into the water. I wasn't trying to get him *into* the water. He got near the edge, and what was cool, he crouched down! Then he just sort slipped into the water. That was cool, I liked seeing him crouch down like that.

  9. Ran through this last night. You've got a good start going. Had fun with the guard on the lower level, he chased me into the water. I left him there, came back later, he's still coughing, took him out with one arrow. Slow to die you bastard. :P

     

    I noticed the different look, almost an oil slick look of the water, nice look. I could see from the windows the street below, you've done a lot with that. I wanted to go and explore that. ;) There were some z-fighting issues, I know its real earlier for major nit picking. I did see some weird looking lights, almost looked like a outline of city lights, or something, it was odd, followed me where ever I went. So far, in a short period of time, you're off to a good start, keep going.
