I only just finished playing T2014 today. I remember that Eidos said that Stephen Russell (hallowed be his name) was not selected because T2014 required that the actor's voice performance be mo-capped. Having played the game, I can't recall any sequence that required more than walking and talking ? Certainly nothing that Russell could not have done. I guess in the end it was lucky for Stephen that he didn't get the gig, because the lines the Stephen Russell sound-a-like had to perform were atrociously written ! Did they use any of Russell's audition work in T2014 ? There's this guard in the new game that says "You need brass hammers to feel safe on the streets these days !". It sounds just like one of Russell's many guard voices from the originals.

I have been trying to connect to the TTLG forums for a couple of days, and it constantly says "Server Not Found". Are they down for maintenance ? Or down permanantly ? Or not down at all ?

Out of desperation I tried just renaming the folder and removing the [sPACE]. The game now WORKS ! Thankyou to both the folks who replied with help.

Yes, my path is D:\Games\Doom3\DOOM 3\Darkmod So the [space] is the problem ? It worked with the previous Darkmod though. Apart from the re-install (I have no idea where my set of CD-ROMs is now) is there any other way to fix the problem ?

I think it was something like 1.07 or 1.08 ? (I might have imagined those version numbers if they don't exist). I thought it was the latest version before the massive update. Did the update fail ? I just ran the updater again and it says it is the latest.

This problem only occured AFTER updating to the new version of TDM. As you can see from the screenshot, it lists 65 errors and an inability to write to doomconfig.cfg (they are all set to read/write). Any ideas how to fix this ?
