I was too wondering if I should buy this some time ago. Bought it thanks to this thread and it sure was worth it. Got caught up by night in the forest, followed by an attack... Finally drowned trying to escape. That feel of despair...

Agreed, it's better to get Haswell now. Also, get 4GB DIMMs when you buy that memory. Some time in the next 18 months you might think it's not enough and may want to buy another 8GB. I run out of 12GB on my old rig all the time.

Gaming rig specs: Core i7 @ 3.8GHz on some EVGA board 12GBish RAM, 1 stick goes on/off randomly on startup Nvidia 660Ti 26" LG panel, 1920x1200 Samsung 830 SSD's on OS and games HDD FPS is locked on 60 and it seems to stay there, haven't noticed any slowdowns in any maps.
