Hey MVT,
So the problem is that you can't find the two statues?
You should be able to find them both in the physical world:
1) First one is in Onzo's room, under the upturned chamber pot.
2) Second one is to the side of the staircase descending into the crypt. Look behind one of the pillars in a side niche.
Let me know if you still can't visualize it and I'll see if I can track down the locations in one of the LP's on youtube :-).

Hey Pwyl,
That's cool, I never knew what that image was based off of.
-
Wrong attic ;-).
There is an attic in the wing where you first meet the Bad Man. There are two bedrooms on the second floor of that wing, one of them has James's journal and a gold statue next to it. You'll need to use that gold statue to get back to the spirit world and make your way up to the attic there. You'll know you're in the right area because the Bad Man is still around.
I hope that helps, otherwise I'll try to track down a youtube LP with the right spot :-).

Hey DarkShadow,
Do you mean the heart of
the Bad Man
? If so you'll need to find it in the spiritual world, look for a gold statue in James Thurgood's room to return there. Very occasionally there will be a bug where the gold statue isn't frobbable...I hope that isn't happening. Let me know if you still can't find what to do :-).

Hey Dark Shadow,
Glad you're enjoying the mission so far :-). Sir Henry was voiced by Goldwell who did just about all the voice acting in Requiem, and has made a few Dark Mod missions of his own.
The spirit in the warehouse sadly has nothing to say besides his observations in the journal besides him. He's just an old laborer who used to work in the warehouse (the tools that serve as the gate to his realm were his favorite instruments), but what he saw foreshadows what's going on in the manor. Small touch, but you'll see two statues waiting to be erected in his spirit realm and you can find those statues erected near the church.

Hey Dark Shadow,
There's only one sequel but it has two maps, I think that's what AluminumHaste meant :-).
Regarding the journal,
You have to find the secret, other journal in Markus's office... look for a hidden switch.

Hey Dark Shadow,
I'm glad you liked it so much! Like AluminumHaste mentioned, I have actually created a sequel to Requiem, and hopefully you get as much enjoyment out of it as you did with Requiem :-P.
PS: For spoilers you have to type in
and
(just get rid of that added space after the word).

Hey Cambridge,
That's pretty cool :-). Yeah, I had set up all the coding etc using the song "La Louison" but it sounded too different from the other songs so at the last minute I swapped it out with "Lauda V". That's why the song is labled that in the game files.

Hey Pwyll,
Don't worry, keep your wits about your and you should be fine :-). It might be tough at times, but I can guarantee you a happy ending if you brave through it. And playing with the lights on helps :-P.

Hey Silverd,
Glad you enjoyed it!

Hey Pwyll,
Yes indeed, the song is 'Beata Viscera' by the 12th Century composer Perotin, sung by Marianne Lihannah. Here's a link to it on Youtube:

Looks very good to me Capella! You've always had a very good eye for geometry - in fact some of your earlier pics inspired parts of the geometry in my FMs. If this is your passion, definitely don't give up.

Hey Tarhiel,
I'm glad you enjoyed the mission (and the cameo :-) ).

. Sounds like the perfect prescription!

@RPGista, thanks for the kind words. I too enjoyed "Choose your own Adventure" books as a kid, and I'd definitely buy one if you wrote it ;-).
@Petike, thank you! Surprisingly the market for edutainment games is smaller than you'd think (and very fragmented) so I guess we'll see what happens.

Hey All,
So after putting together two gritty Dark Mod missions...here's something completely different:
Yep, I've made an edutainment game (trailer courtesy of our very own Goldwell). I don't know if anyone around here is interested in more lighter fare games, but you're my community so I wanted to share.
Here's the game's website and you can buy from Itch.io if you are so inclined :-).

And if you like my TDM work you get to play the total conversion "The Nameless Mod" which I worked on too .

Hey Hecateus,
Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed the mission!
-
Hey Hecateus,
Glad you enjoyed the mission :-). There is actually a way to get the priest his comeuppance, you just need to look around his office very thoroughly and then think about who could use the information found.
-
Hey abelliquex, glad everything could work and you could enjoy the mission! To be honest I've never played Amnesia before (though I do own a copy) :-).
@esme, just take a few deep breaths :-P.
@MVT, sorry for taking so long to answer - it sounds like you found a workaround?
-
Hey,
There's been one other player who mentioned the same issue (sadly he got around it by no clipping through that room instead of walking through it). It might be a corrupted file in the download that's causing the issue, so I would try deleting and re downloading or starting a new game from scratch.Let me know if that doesn't work .

Yipes, stay well!

Just a random AI question (probably for Grayman) - when an AI gets alerted what logic does it follow when searching for the player? Is it just a matter of having the AI go to the spot which generated the suspicion and then moving out from that spot in random directions? I know that AI work together now to do searches, but how exactly does that work?
-
Thanks Sotha,
I really respect your work, so it's humbling to hear such high praise from you :-).

Hey Dunedain,
One workaround for this is to put some monster clip onto the floor under the chair. The AI will still walk around at ground-level but when it comes time to sleep/sit they will be adjusted up by the height of the clip.
