  1. BUt we still need a title screen. Or does the user always have to go through the list? I think the title screen should show the last installed FM and allow to load it directly. Like it was in the original games.
  2. I rellay love it. Looks great! the only thing that I would like to have is also to display the size of the FM, and wether I already finished it (like in DarkLoader). We also will need some description to be displayed. The name alone is not of much help if you have 400 missions to select from. And I hope that, over time, we will get as much for our mod as for T1/T2.
  3. So I was playing aorudn with the SDK this night and so far I had no success. But I think I figured out how to replace the original Doom 3 screen with our own, so if you guys could create a nice main menu screen, I would try to create a single player mod structure where we will put our mod in. Anybody up to the task?
  4. It's only an interface. The real code is already in Doom3. So what do you expect? Actually 10MB just for an interface is extremly huge, but I guess there is some documentation in there as well.

  6. This looks really great. I was already worrying because the picture did lok strange a little bit on Springheels first post, but now that it is embedded in the setting it looks really good and fitting.
  7. Yes. You should talk to Fingernail about that. He can give you access to the teams forums where we have the concepts and everything.
  8. Well it is not exactly a request, but a big asking! I would really love to have such a creepy ambient sound as it was in T1 and T2. Some people said that T3 also had excellent sound though I must say I didn't hear it and was quite surprised about that. It seems that there was a bug that prevented most ambient sounds of playing because I only heard them every now and then, so I can't really comment on them. Anyway. I know that the atmosfear in T1 and T2 was mostly done or enhanced by the soundeffects when you entered some rooms, so I would suggest that you listen to them to get a feeling for what we need (at least those who never played T1 or T2). I really loved that sounds and I hope that we can also have something like that in our project.

  10. The models really look amazing. I especially like the image where the thief jumps over the wall.
  11. I was getting it as a copy, but when I played the first level on the cemetery, it was so scary that I went the next day and bought it. I must say I haven't regreted it. What I also love is, the textures really look great. If you look at that military base level and check out the walls, or the hulls of the airplanes or the street, everything looks as if it was in heavy use. Doom is much cleaner and sterile. When you look at the textures in the base it all looks nice and clean. Of course there is the occasianal blood and the props are tumbled around but still it looks as if it were just unpacked fresh from the factory.
  12. Stopping him from witdhdrawing it from our Mod should be no issue, as we all should have agreed on exactly that.
  13. Glad you like it . At least that is how I interpret it. I was not so sure about it, because I'm not an artist.
  14. OK. I cut out the images so that only the relevant part is there. As a result the downloadsize is much smaller now.
  15. No problem. I Used GIMP and now I'm uploading it. Resizing the images is not so good, ebcause I didn't want to show the entire screen. Only the part that is of interest to the mod.
  16. Is this availabel for Linux? I'm doing most of my stuff on Linux and only switch to Windows when I need it for gaming or such. Well. What can I say? I'm a fan of it. Some say that it is a mindless shooter (which it probably is ), but the graphics is REALLY great. Especially when you look at the textures. For example the factory setting has textures that really look like an abandoned factory. All dirty, scratches, etc.. Looks really cool. And also the atmosphere is great. I was freaking out when I played it the first time and was playing the first level. Doom3 is also creepy, but I think there are not many games that manage to create such an atmosfear with graphics and sound. If you like shooters then I can only recomment it. The only thing that sucks is the multiplayer. It has an awfully crappy network code it seems. So if you care for that much, then it's not for you. But I care more for the singleplayer and that it is really great. I will also buy the addon that is coming up soon.

Mayebe you find it usefull. I noticed that they are rather big, so I will try to cut them down. I must look which tools I can use for this, as I'm not well prepared for graphics processing.
  18. I have taken some screenshots of Painkiller (13MB). The second level (Attic) is kind of like an old church setting and there are some nice pictures. Are you interested? If so then tell me where I should upload it. I thought it may be used for concepts on pictures, statues and some architecture.

  20. You paintd this yourself? Awesome! It would take me ages to draw something like this and it still would look like crap. My first face alone took 8 hours just for the simple pen outlines.
  21. Can't you take the T1/T2 paintings as a concept? Also Painkiller has some medevial themes in some leves (I remember the second level has a lot of saints in one room). I can make some screenshots of them if you want them as concepts. I always considered the T1/T2 paintings as very atmospheric and fitting for a medivial theme (but I'm no artist of course). The T3 paintings totally sucked.
  22. I was suspecting you. Currently I use Carrot because it sounds at least simialr to Garret and Eidos can not have a problem with it. I hope there is no Fundamental Thief Purist here who will be offended.
