  1. For example, i download mission x via fm downloader, i'm playing it and all is okey, but next day an updates is released and its now mission x 1.2. Will, on the next launch, tdm scan my installed fm and tell me if there is an update? Best way to solve such issue is a CRC check, or force fm makers to put an fm version inside of file. Next time tdm will just check what version is mentioned in this file and compare with the same data on site, and tell me if there are new version exists. Next, i tried to play this fm: http://modetwo.net/d...22/page__st__50 and grayman told me that: If you're playing with TDM 1.04, there's a known crash loading these missions: Special Delivery The Thieves Awaiting the Storm Trapped 1.05 fixes the problem. That's also not normal, again if such thing exits it must be told me. If i'm just going to download fm, it will tell me "be aware its not compatible with your version of TDM". And if i already donwloaded fm it will tell me "we found that some of you mission in not compatible with current version of tdm" and mark them somehow just to avoid them. More suggestions will come soon

    no no no, no please! hate small missions, why would any even waste its time on small fm? Fm must be big, like truart house, or bank, or assassins or... I would never understand these crazy contests aim on creation of small fms like 64x64x64 and etc.

    So i have opera browser and chrome and in opera i've got tons of bugs.   11. Well, i can run crysis on high settings with native res, so i can't agree that my card isnt sufficient. Its more like "not optimal optimization". Guess i should wait till source

  14. So, first of all my config: Its laptop alienware m11x with c2d 1600mhz and geforce 335 with 263.08 driver. I have latest version of doom3 and darkmod 1.04. Via internal downloader i downloaded Thief Den III FM. I selected "Hard" difficulty and launched the game. - it was loading for ages, it took about 3min to load. - first thing i saw was 15 fps: http://dl.dropbox.co...1/darkmod01.jpg wut? 2004year engine lags so much? - then there was some weird lightning bug in center of screen: http://dl.dropbox.co...1/darkmod02.jpg http://dl.dropbox.co...1/darkmod03.jpg - and last thing is boring, slow appearing, menu: http://dl.dropbox.co...1/darkmod04.jpg P.S. mod is not optimized for 16:9 screens, menu is just stretched from 4:3 aspect ratio, that's cheap.
  15. Is darkmod alive? Why there are so little fm created? How about to make some kind of official company which will be like an example for everyone?
  16. And for others, don't listen to those dorks from that Russian fan page. Never saw such crazy people. Well, i can say that their web page is good, but that's the only thing i can prise. They didn't create a single mission for dark mod, but still judge it. And this prick, shadowhide, he created some block crappy fm and now dispute on atmosphere and etc in darkmod, what a jerk?

    I’ve got few interesting questions for you people. You made a great work. You transformed, ugly, shitlooking doom3 engine in to something similar to Thief. Fine. But tell me, I’ve got PC that 3 years younger than this game (Doom 3) It is Intel Core2Duo E6300 OC to 3.0Ghz, with 1900XT and 2GB Ram. Why on this little street I see such low FPS? This street, it is not very detailed, it’s using muddy textures. And I’ve got here only 20-30 FPS? WTF? Yes I’m playing on high quality in 1280x1024 with AAx4. But look at this for example, Dark Messiah, it have much more detailed levels, much bigger and I’ve got there 60FPS with same resolution and AA, AF, 8 and higher. What? There are no dynamic shadows? Well first of all, such shadows in doom 3 looks like shit because they are sharpened, and second is that in HL2 – EP2 We have soft real shadows. So in conclusion I would like to say that idea of using such engine to resurrect or port Thief ideas was a very bad move. We have got only two possible ways. First, all of us will buy something like 8800 Sly, or we will see such ugly blocky architecture like that Because all other high poly places will simply lag. Well we have some kind of unreal way, forget about Doom3 Engine and port all work to Source engine. Once again, there is some crew, they are making a full remake of original HL so they used united lighting model, but after ep2 they imported real shadows and real lightning in game, without any problems. P.s. Guys, who make missions for Dark Mod, forget what you made under DromEd, such engine like dark mod needs new approach, more detailed. Cause same things which looked good under Dark Engine look ugly under DM. Thank you very much for your patience and sorry for my strange English. Holland btw.
