it looks really great

Yep I know what you mean. These details can be good but I'm affraid that it can significantly affect the fps (which are not entirely good in this area where its quite complicated to visportal it right). But I'll give it a try .
-
your pictures are very dark though, and you know you can post directly to forum as attachments..
Yep i know both. I think that the JPG format makes the images darker. But next time i will rather increase the value of ambient light or adjust the brightness and contrast. And as for the forum attachments i tried it but i wasn't able to decrease the size of images to 500kb but now I know I can do more efficient compression. So next time everything will be fine.

Rek: I think the tops of the arrow slits could do with some stone trims (like overlapping plates). Currently it looks a little as if something was missing on top of them. But it does still look very neat. Great choice of textures.
Thanks for advice but my english is not so good yet and I dont know what exacly do you mean by "tops of the arrow slits". Do you mean the the top edge of the walls where should be a roof (btw I'm planning there a roof) or the crenellated walls?

Rek: The only fix I can see at the moment for the ladder sound is this: Create a plain text file called say mymap.sndshd and put it in a folder in darkmod\sound or your game folder. It must be included with your FM. In the file put in:
movement_ladder
{
}
I don't know if the above will work but in theory it will replace the normal sound with silence. If so, it means if you have any normal ladders in your FM they will be silent too. You could also try an actual sound if you want to explore the darkmod pk4s, eg,
movement_ladder
{
foliage_shuffle
}
Please let me know if it works.
I'll look into this to see if there is a better solution for some future update but I suspect it might need a code change.
I dont have the folder "sound" in my darkmod folder. So I placed the text file into the folder with my FM but it didn't work.

Hi, I have the climbable ivy in my map so I created a brush over the ivy and apply the Ladder texture. But when I'm climbing on the ivy there is the sound of climbing on the ladder which really doesn't suit it. So I want to ask you guys. Is it possible to get rid of that sound somehow?

oh little late

wow, very nice

For some reason I cannot post in the DR thread!
Rek: I had the same problem with a blood stain. Try instead one of the splats. I used textures/decals/splat16 in mine. These are in the decals 'folder' just below the darkmod one in the texture list (not the darkmod/decals one) way down the texture list.
Thank you Fidical, now it works right

I have got a little trouble with blood texture (from decals). The blood is visible in editor but not in game. Does anyone know where is the problem?

wow, it looks amazing!

Is possible to make the models for Dark radiant in Cinema 4d?
-
I'm writing late but there is one more way to solve it. When pops up the screen requesting the cd-key, type in console "disconnect" and that's it
-
looks good ps. I wonder who lights the torch above the gate
-
Thank you guys, I'm gonna try it out
-
How are you able to realistic caves like that..?
Its like the melan said, made out of brush mashes. You have more possibilities with brushes, but on the other side you cant use the clipper tool on them and also the connecting is sometimes really bothering.

I wonder how to make smooth crossing between the footpath and the grass like at this screenshot. http://forums.thedarkmod.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=4275

Me again . Is it possible to apply more textures on one brush (or patch)? For example I have a ground with the grass texture and I want to make a path on the same surface.
-
ok thanks anyway
-
One more thing. I want the guard sleeping on a ground on a quilt or something like that. But the sleeping path is adjusted for a common (higher) beds. So the guard fellow is sleeping in the air above the ground . So is there any way how to figure out it?

Great mission! Voted excellent all just like Summer.
I really liked the atmosphere. Groaning of the zombies and stories in journals (liked a lot) perfectly created the atmosphere. Also the scripts are really well made. Falling of the attic almost caused me hearth attack . I was calmly robing the desk in the corner and suddenly rocket as hell and the ceilling behind me collapsed. I got frightened a lot. Fortunately i didn't scare my mother by screaming like Summer did
