hahahaha, this is ridiculous. I have played Populous when it was fresh out. I have played Wolfenstein before it was forbidden in Germany. Any my first RPG was Ultima 6, back in the day. And even then I hated 2D sprites with all my heart. 3D hi poly FTW! XD That said, I despise Crysis and Modern Warfare 2.

No, but it helps. And the AI are close to being 2D. I mean, look at their *faces*! Consider the fact that swords are glued to the guards' hands! No, the only thing that was really good in T1/2 is the sound. Also, Crysis is nowhere near to what it was announced as, with regards to the story. Now it's ultra-right wing American crap.

One word: Unreal. Just remember this stunning beauty. Gaphically, it was ahead of ANYthing at the time. I remember that for T2, I dreamed of Unreal graphics and the T1 sound system. Well, we both know what came out of that.

That's the story. I'm talking purely about the technical side. There are many games of the past that shine story-wise - and only there (from today's point of view).
Also, shame on the programmer of the T engine. Just look how many other games can still be modded and brought to excellence. Thief? I don't think to. 1024 poly limit FTW!

You won't find Thief here, as it never gave me what I craved: Believable graphics. Seriously, AI made out of a dozen polygons? Get real!
