Sweet mission. Very sharp city. I'm almost done, but I'm stuck with a few details.
1: I can't find...
Spoiler...the combination for the Sinclair safe.
There is a...
Spoiler...barred door upstairs that I haven't gotten into yet;
I assume that has something to do with it.
2: I'd like to...
Spoiler...lay Clarice's ghost...
...(so to speak), but I can't find ...
Spoiler...the referenced key.
Also, there's an...
Spoiler...open-windowed apartment occupied by a jumpy woman high above Fishend .
I can't figure out any way to get in there.
Any hints would be appreciated.

Again, thanks to the recent update, i had very few stuttering on some areas, i think i remember trying it when it was released and it was barely playable, or didn't even load. This mission also shows TDM can rival Thief's fan missions in terms of size and details, i think this one is the largest map i've played so far
I've been playing Thief since about the beginning. I've played hundreds of fan missions in the various incarnations of what we all consider (or not, depending on whom you ask) Thief; quite a number of them are magnificent, but Iris leaves them all in the dust. I fervently hope Wellingtoncrab has not retired.

There is much to admire here, and I am enjoying the mission overall, but the elemental passcode panels are intensely irritating. I can only (barely) see and interpret slightly less than half of the symbols; there's just not nearly enough contrast to them, and it doesn't improve even when they're highlighted. I stumbled through the one in the first mission (the lighting in that location was better), but the ones guarding...Spoiler...the shroud, holy water and artifact......are heavily shadowed and impossible to interpret. I realize that this mission is (for lack of a better phrase at the moment) old news, but can somebody assist in some manner? Going through the threads concerning this mission on various boards, I am apparently the only player who had/has this problem. Puzzling.NM...I forgot I had a lantern...*sigh*

It ran at a constant 60 fps on a much older cpu (AMD FX-8350) for me. My GPU is more recent but still only a 4gb card.
Wasn't hard to figure out the safe, either. Good hints.
Specifically inside the room you find the readable. If you still couldn't figure it out...
The lady in the painting
The number of lanterns on the bench. I thought it was either this or the number of lights in the room initially so I was going to try both, but the first guess worked.
The number of pillows in the room
SpoilerThe number of pillows in the room
Aha. Makes sense now...

Fun mission. It's nice to play Robin Thief for a change, and the town was neat (if a bit cramped). Only one thing is a mystery to me:
SpoilerI got the first two combination numbers, so of course the third was had in moments, but I don't know what the final digit signifies...

Neat mission. I love...
Spoiler...undead invasions.
I had...
Spoiler...disabled the mine at the top of the forbidden catacomb...
...wondering if it would be factor later. As soon as I saw the...
Spoiler...Hammer Haunt and Zombie race (or shuffle rather, depending) up the stairs...
...I was like 'lol, yup" =D The...
Spoiler...Hammmerites took care of them with a few casualties, unfortunately including Lady Elvira's sweet daughter.
I should have...
Spoiler...sapped her and put her out of harms way...
...as I had a feeling what was going to happen. I'm a softie like that.
Anyway, cool mission.

Okay, so far I'm just dropping by to say that: to whomever coded/created the...
Spoilerarchery skill game...
Fucking next level. Not that the rest of the mission isn't exemplary but, wow, cool as fuck.

If you're still looking, I'm willing to beta-test. Probably wouldn't hurt to have a Linux user weigh in. Let me know.

Huh. Okay, thank'ee both.

I signed up weeks ago, and I have not been able to log in since. I change my password, and it's not accepted when I try to log in later. I request a one-time email login and "Oops... Something went wrong. This is our fault, sorry! ". Literally *nothing* seems to work there. Is it just me?

Wow, a fan mission weighing in at almost a gig has to be worth a look...

You ok with testing the release candidat maybe next week?
Sure, let me know what and when.

This shouldn't be the case. What area?
It's the...
Spoiler...top level restaurant type area with a Euro couple. The male has a bottle of the coveted hooch.
If that doesn't do it, I will try to get a screenshot.

I've wanted to try beta-testing; if you're still looking for testers, I'm up.

Looks nice from the ten minutes I've been here so far. Is there a trick...
Spoiler...to climb the ratlines on the ship? I keep passing through them and falling.

Thanks for the replies, particularly the reference to the embarrassingly-obvious "Music & SFX" subforum just below this one. I just like the music: I don't have any illusions about creating a fan mission. I messed with Dromed way back in the day, and I remember what a black hole of time and sanity it was.

So where do you disgustingly clever/creative people find all of the great, very Thief-esque ambient tracks I hear in so many of these missions?

"Undead hogwarts" is a fantastic description lol. As for your question, that door is purely decorative, it was meant to represent the front entrance. You cant actually traverse it. Sorry for the confusion
No sweat, now I know. Thanks.

So, I'm in the Undead Hogwarts, and I have everything I need, but there's this...
Spoiler...set of double doors with a shimmery, filmy shield..
..in front of it that I can't seem to touch. If there was a written clue somewhere, I have completely missed it. Please assist.

I'm just here to gush embarrassingly about another Wellington Crab mission. MD2: LHMN is a delicious bit of offbeat strangeness, dreamlike, surreal, but made odd sense to me at the right moments, so that I made it though the entire thing by myself this time, instead of being constantly (though enjoyably) overwhelmed as in Iris. Of course, it's lovingly crafted and peppered with clever little bits of window dressing that might seem distracting and extraneous in a lesser mission. I still have little idea what the overall story was, but I enjoyed every minute of the experience. Wellington Crab, you are a genius and an artist, and I look forward keenly to your next mission.

Nice mission, good atmosphere, and I liked...
Spoiler...the phantom dewdrop...
...particularly, but after hours searching for...
Spoiler...a magic mushroom I'm certain I got, and just isn't anywhere, the pot remains unfrobable...
...and I was forced to move on.

@Oleron there are no rope arrows in the mission -
I am not sure but it sounds like you may be going for this sequence of very difficult jumps. It's not for the feint of heart (I can't do it):
This route was originally discovered by @AluminumHaste who is something of a human rope arrow.
Yup, that's it. And I don't think it's going to happen. Thank you.
So, what are you working on right now?
