I doubt it. I don't think a few euros more expensive will encourage more people to choose a pirate's life, just like a few euros drop in price won't make more people give it up. Quite a few people also pirate games just to test if they like them and then buy them or uninstall them if they don't like them, as refund policies (if any) are quite shady sometimes and there are few games that actually have demos (although this thankfully seems to be increasing again).

It is always a risk with games. I remember some years  ago a demo of a game appeared with a magazine, Will Rock (2003), a wonderful FPS, with a good setting, action in abundance in a fairly long demo. I liked it so much that I bought the complete game, but I stayed completely disappointed to see that the demo was almost as long as the full game and on top of that it was a lot worse finished with lousy gameplay.

It's like watching a trailer for a movie, which is very interesting, and then at the cinema you realize that the trailer had practically all the good scenes of the movie and that you have wasted your money.

    If I understand correctly:

It shouldn't matter who you knockout, because the disguised target is not the same NPC as the people you might have knocked out earlier. My "ghost" was the builder priest, and I'd already knocked out the first builder priest I saw, but the mission was completable because there was a new builder priest roaming around who turned out to be the mission target.

I might be wrong though, perhaps I missed him the first time around and the mission would actually have been impossible to complete if I'd knocked him out first.

    Spoiler

I have never knocked out the killer by mistake at the beginning of the mission, but I imagined that, knowing where you left the knocked out killer, he could be killed also later

  3. Having played Warrens several times already, I know to be careful who I knock out. For this reason, knowing where the hiding place is, it is the first way I take, to find out and be able to kill the Ghost. Afterwards it is also much easier to pluck the neighborhood, since the guards are all already dead, killed by the Ghost and they do not disturb my raids.

One of my favorite missions. Great content with a random objective, which ensures a much greater re-playability. You never know in advance who the murderer is.

OK, I'm going to have to admit defeat on this one. I must have wandered around this map for hours, but I still have no idea where I'm even trying to go, much less how to get there.

I've found the theater, which seems important and suspicious but despite looking in every room and reading the two or three readables, I couldn't find anything which advanced any of my objectives. I've also been inside a hotel, a couple of workshops, a builder chapel and a lighthouse but still, nothing.

    Spoiler

Take a good look in the theater basement in the last room, there is a hidden switch.

  5. A few months ago, looking through my old CDs, I found again Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, which I played many years ago on an old PC with Windows XP and I really liked it. Later with my next PC already with Windows 7 I had quite a few compatibility problems and had to download a patch, with what worked more bad than good.
Now with Windows 10 I tried to play it again and I had the pleasant surprise that the game worked wonderfully well, without a patch as is.
It is in my opinion a game that is worthwhile, a mixture of RPG and FPS with 4 alternative endings.

(Also ropearrows in the equipment and stealth elements in the game, nasty spiders too)

  6. Nothing to do with Ethereum, the link is to the independient Company Making Fun, fans of the old Diablo Game. They create first Mage and Minions, renamed it later Eternium.

But yes, it's some OT, responding to the discussion, sorry for this.

  7. RPG games are very popular for my wife. In this genre there are certainly many from Pay2Win, although there are also free exceptions, which, although they have purchase options within the menu, these refer practically only to cosmetic supplements that do not provide or only provide insignificant advantages. One of them, which is quite good, very playable and, which is not at all frequent, available for both desktop and mobile. It is called Eternium and this is definitely not Pay2Win, it allows you to play as far as you want, without restrictions and completely free. It can be downloaded freely from the corresponding stores (Windows, Google Play, iOS), it is singleplayer, although there are challenges for all the players where you try to climb a table, but each one on their own.

  8. Not forgetting that we are comparing a free game with commercial games with all kinds of state-of-the-art facilities and a squad of Chinese programmers.

It would be fair to compare TDM with other free and OSS games, to see how many "AAA" we find among them.

A AAA game is not defined not only by the spectacular graphics, but by its content, playability and re-playability. I am not worth a game to go in 20-30 levels to go from point A to B linearly, with no other content than to shoot everything that moves. No matter how good graphics they have, this is played 1-2 times and then forgotten. TDM however is to play for years, with very different content and genres, from Steahth, FPS, Adventure, Survival Horror, Mystery, Platform ... (and even a Tetris 😂), THIS is not AAA, but AAAA +.

  9. Like I said before, TDM, at least with the graphics adapted to my Lap, is quite realistic. Where perhaps it fails a little sometimes is in some glitches, when a character is sitting in the air on the table and the like, and the AI is sometimes exasperating, for example the girl I fought in 'The Transaction' is unable to run in the right direction, things like that But I think this happens in the best games too.

  10. I think TDM is graphically pretty good, anyway better than the Thief I know.
It naturally depends on the configuration adapted to the graphic capabilities that each one has.
Possibly the quality can be greatly improved to match the latest generation games, but not everyone has a high-end gaming PC to be able to play it then.
I don't have a high-end PC and many games currently offered are well above what I can play with a moderately acceptable FPS.
Besides that the graphic quality does not necessarily define the quality of a game and in this aspect TDM is far superior to many more modern ones.

I think that answers my question. I'm enjoying the mission but I could never devote over 10 hours to it, or any other FM really. That's a lot of time to spend scouring for loot. If you have the time available (and the determination) to do than I give you credit, but I guess it's not for me. At some point my brain would starting asking me what I'm doing. :)

Nor can I play more than 1-2h daily on a mission. It took me almost a week to finish this one.

.......There's always the likelyhood of even a popular site like imgur ending up doing shit like Photobucket: https://petapixel.com/2017/07/01/photobucket-just-broke-billions-photos-embedded-web/

No, Photobucket from the beginning has abused its conditions (Bad, no animated gifs and paying for un service that others give for free) and the launch of its TinyPic, which filled the web with its 'Photo not available' logos by deleting them in a few days, has permanently broken their neck.

  13. In ImgBox registration is also not necessary, but if necessary in both (only Nick, Mail and Pasword), if you want to save your photos there and to create albums, this without registration is not possible, with this you only have the function of Image Sharer.
That's why I have an account in both, Imgur for its apps and extensions that it has and ImgBox for its comfortable and fast use, both are the best and most reliable image hosts that I have tested over the years.

Using only as imagesharer, without account, ImgBox is better, especially for animated gifs, since Imgur then only offers the link like webm or MP$, difficult to share in many forums., in addition ImgBox supports up to 10Mb per image.

  14. Shure, Google Service may be enough and Sync feature is good for private Photos, but Imgur also have Apps for Android for upload Photos, also browser extensions for Right click upload. The Screenshot Tool I use (ShareX also upload the picture by default, same the online editor Lunapic, which also has a extension Right Click Edit.

    https://www12.lunapic.com/editor/

Apart Sync, logging in Imgur or ImgBox, you has al Photos in all your PC and Mobiles. Both community driven and free.

  15. Certainly Google always had the limit of 15 Gb free in your account, but not in Google Photos, as long as you save the photos in compressed form, but this is what ends now with the new regulation, Google Photos will not store in an unlimited way either in compressed form, including the 15 Gb in the total of services, which was not the case before.

That is, from June 1, if the services you use, Gmail, Gdrive, Google Photos, etc. add up total to 15 Gb, uploading more photos would no longer be free.
This yes, the photos that are already uploaded previously do not count in the calculation.
Anyway, I personally do not use these services, I have had my photos in albums (privat and public) since years in my accounts in the aforementioned Imgur and ImgBox, they offer free and unlimited hosting, also much better to share, with the necessary codes (ImgBox include with BBcodes, ready to copy-paste in forums, selecting several photos also the bulk codes, for paste all fotos with one click, as thumbnails or fullsize) and not the kilometric links that Google Photos offers.

More codes in Imgur, but no bulk post

  16. Given that I have observed that some of you have Google accounts to save Screenschots and various images, I have thought of reporting this change in Google's policy, which from  From June 1 of this year it no longer allows the uploading of images for free, when the total of 15 Gb in the general services of the account is exceeded (Gdrive, Gmail and others). The best alternatives would then be the Onedrive account, which still has a limit of 1 Terabyte, or ImgBox or Imgur, both free without  storing limits and also provide better links to share.

    https://imgbox.com/

(ImgBoxen is in my opinion the best alternative, although it only supports uploads from the PC, but admits Bulk uploads and give forumlinks for Bulk Share)

    https://imgur.com/

(It also supports uploads from the network, but is more limited in the maximum size of the files)

  18. Excellent mission, I have finally managed to finish it, All the secrets, all loot and with 100% stealth ... na, lie, it has cost me horrors and they spanked me well. Also messing around in the alleys with the girl in my arms, trying to avoid the guards, doing the tourist route (the poor thing must also have finished full of bruises, as many times as I have had to throw it on the ground to orient myself).
After reading the diary of the chief thief, I almost felt sorry for having knocked them out.
Quite funny all, but certainly one of the missions that has cost me the most to finish.
