  1. Found that. I've put "tdm_gui01/dds/guis/assets/hud/inventory_icons/largebook_icon_dds" in to the inventory icon in DR. It no shows in the game. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
  2. I'm trying to get a large book to go in to my inventory and trying to find the inventory icon for it. I'm looking in the guis folder. I'm currently looking in guis/assets/hud/inventory icons. All I can see is the spyglass tga. Does anyone know where I can find the correrct icon? Thanks.
  3. Thanks Fidcal. I just went with the Prefab in the end. It's a lot nicer looking than my elevator as well. One thing though. The elevator is for a church tower and at it's default speed it takes nearly a minute to get from A to B which is a bit of a dull wait. I added the spawnrag translation_speed to the lift and put in 60 but the speed seems the same after dmapping. Is there a way to speed it up?
  4. OK my elevator works absolutely fine. But when I'm standing on it it keeps stopping during it's journey. Any ideas whats causing this?
  5. OK I have a really strange problem. I have an elevator that keeps stopping in random places. Occasionally it actually does make it to it's destination so I know that it can work. And there doesn't seem to be a specific point where it stops. It's very random. Does anyone know what could be causing this? This probably sounds odd but it is true. I'm using the door_sliding entity thats recommended from Fidcals tut. I see that theres an elevator tut that recommends using a mover elevator enitity. I'll try that instead.

  7. is there a way to make a Gravestone a readable? So when it is frobbed the inscription can be read?

  10. I read the "how to pack your mission" guide. It said at the very minimum I need the Darkmod and startingmap txt and the map, cm, proc and ass file. I have those. I don't know what else I need.
  11. I thought DM changed it automatically now. Anyway I've changed it manually and I still get the same error message.
  12. When I I click on my map in dark mod it says "can't load map maps/" Here is the layout of my fm folder Can someone see what I'm doing wrong? Thanks

  15. Is there any tutorials on how to do a mission briefing in the style of the original Thief games? I had a look on the dark mod wiki and couldn't see anything, unless I'm missing something obvious. Thanks
  16. I have quite a few ideas. One that I like but don't think I'll get around to building (I have other ideas i'd prefer to build maps for) is where you start doing an ordinary "steal a valuable from a mansion" type mission. When you nearly steal the valuable an alarm goes off. You realise you have been set up. The objectives change. First you have to escape the mansion with the guards on high alert. Then go back to your fence at the other end of the city to get revenge because he sold you out. As there are guards on the streets looking for you, you decide to go around the city travelling through a forest type pagan sanctuary. Maybe have a couple of abondoned farm houses and cottages along the way that are overgrown with plants and vines that the pagans now live in.
  17. OK I found the brush using fidcals method and I deleted it. I get no error message and I have an AAS file that is now written. The brush is litterally something like 2 miles away from my AI. How can that effect it in anyway? Oh well, onwards and downwards lol. Thank you everyone for your help.

  19. There's definately AI in my map. There's a rat and a guard. After Dmapping when I bring the console down I get these 2 error messages. Error: idbrush: brush 4277 on entity 0 in unbounded Warning: idSession: triggering mainmenu watchdog
