  1. Hmm, the time should reset but maybe I didnt code it in, thats easy to fix tho. As for the music, that shouldnt be the case, when I play it the music changes when going into credits and when you exit reutnrs to the normal. I'm not sure what could cause the discrepancy, but I guess we aught to figure it out. THere is no scroll functionality yet, but I also want to talk about that. Maybe we can discuss things sometime on the IRC channel, I'm free over the christmas vacation excluding a some other work, but I should be around
  2. all d3 options should be there except EAX HD 4.0 Sound (Im looking for the code for it but its greyed out in my menu. Also the settings that usually require restart dont give you a warning yet, they just wont respond untill you restart. Besides that the settings should be totally functioning. Also FYI the scrollDef is what you want. A sliderDef is what is used for say, the brightness meter or volume. A scrollDef is the little updownscrolly bar

  4. I don't know, I can play around with it more if we can't find another way. The issue I ran into with my earlier tests was that all the lists ingame connect to things outside the .gui that are based in the sdk. from the things I've read (it's hard to find good info on .guis :-/) it seems as if the code only lists where the information in the scrollDef comes from, not specific code. Still I'm sure some implementation can be worked out if theres that many more buttons. I'de still just as soon make one more submenu and not have the scrolls though
  5. is that from drumples or is that cncept?? If its from drumples it's an edition I never got and would really like. As I said I didnt put them in cause I honesty couldn't figure out how to get the bind defs to be read by the menu but if hes already done it...
  6. S'all good. I actually known how to implement the scrollDef.. I just can't figure out how to get binddefs in the scroll def, or if it's even possible. They don't do it in the menu so I dunno if it's even feasible. Since I could fit the options without em I figured not to worry about it
  7. I think maybe he means scrolldef since I have functioning sliderDef in the Menu. And yes the text in the options looks bad, I think it has to do with scaling but I'm not totally sure, it's certainly something that needs worked out. Either fix the scaleing so it looks good or do another bold copy of the font that wont look so choppy.
  8. That was my point ( I think ) If he ahs a darkmod/guis/ folder with mainmenu it will override the new .pk4
  9. they do but If you have another old .pk4 in your folder I'm not sure which .pk4 comes first. Also I think if you have a folder in you base that is the same as a .pk4 it overrides (at least my menus worked with other menu pk4s already in base folder when I had them unzipped.
  10. yea if you have file that are going to clash you should clear out your old .guis and such, I'm not sure but i think they might take precedence over whats in the pk4. make sure you do the same with graphics/sounds so the correct ones are used.
  11. I'm looking into trying to buy a new Desktop thats fairly amazing with room for future upgrades for under 2k. Anyone wanna help? :-D

  14. Well not from scratch, I have alot of code to work with. Yea objectives aughta to be implemented soon. I'm starting on Main Menus now. I was working 12-16 hour days so I wasn't exactly around to do stuff, but I'm OK again. Also the forum hasn't really been dead so much as we just used to texture forums for so long.
  15. Hmmm, There is a "notime" bool that you can place in the desktop, but I am unclear as to whether it stops game time or stops time in the .gui, which would mess it up. I guess you/I can try it and see, but I'll be working pretty non-stop days this week untill sunday.
  16. Check your PDA gui perhaps? if you have an edited copy it will not function. Also I may not be positive but unless a map has PDA scripts setup it may not open.

    Bleh, Ok scratch using Drumples it seems to have quite a few problems with some of the ways transitions were implemented. I'm just going to redo the whole thing and take snippets of his code where they will help me go faster.

    Yea there is a aprtially complete main menu already on the FTP, very minimal it actual usage but in the coding for the graphics its about 500 lines of code I won't have to do OH and the Objectives isn't "done" in a final form but I'm just about to upload the file to the FTP for IShtvan to work on now.
  23. Well, true but we won't really no how good it is for sure untill we can test it with the SDK elements On that note I'm putting it on the FTP now, I just need to pak it up
  24. Yea Right now I just have that the failed objectives will grey out, we can change it later. Isht I'm sorry I'm taking so long, I'm trying to work out some visiblity problems with the second page, I'm working to finish it up right now though, and will get it on FTP ASAP.
  25. That may be possible, I guess my point is....Why spend extra time coding when we can do something much simpler. Also Spring, what do we want to use for pageturn buttons? I have placeholders for the code, but need something nicer.
