  1. the object isn't textured in blender
  2. yeah they did it like in T1/2. the lightgem is a object and the texture of the object changes. I don't think that it'd took rendering power because the world arround you doesn't have any affect to the lightgem. just the texture changes. oofnish can you please send me the textures you used ? I don't have lightwave so I can't open them. email BlackThief@gmx.net or upload them to the ftp.

  4. http://www.tpd.tno.nl/smartsite966.html that's the URL. but I found out that it actually isn't one huge picture. there is also a thread in the TTLG at Communtiy Chat. http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91130&page=1
  5. ok - no it works quite fine it's still black, cauze D3 can't find the skin one problem though - I've no idea how big the table actually is in blender units...cauze when everything is one object blender counts from 1. so this is 0.25..... http://www.dark-project.com/BlackThief/cof...tab_ingame2.jpg
  6. well I'd make the metal part a bit "older-looking". it's so bright and blank....so that IMHO it looks just a bit futuristic and not medieval
  7. thx sparhawk IT WORKED.........but now Godzilla could eat from it http://www.dark-project.com/BlackThief/table_huge.jpg
  8. Ok, I imported it into blender, but it'd be cool if oofnish could send me his gem texture. I think it looked quite cool:
  9. hm, maybe that's just a blender issue. can plze someone else try to resize it in another programm ? I'll upload both, the blender and the ASE file to models/furniture/tables
  10. looks pretty cool spring
  11. I've got some serious problems to resize the table in blender - when I make it bigger parts of the model dissappear in the 3d-view and it doesn't look any bigger in the modelviewer
  12. I'll dowload the model and try to skin it, but I can't promise anything...
  13. thanks for you help I finished it: Now I've to figure out, how to import it into D3...
  14. no something else was wrong. no it works fine. however there's one problem: I worked with 12 UV-Spheres and it's really annyoing to select EVERY face with the mouse. is there a way to select every face in a certain area ?
  15. great work ! looks pretty cool
  16. lol not sure if I can teach you anything... I've got some trouble uv-mapping the table: (the side-parts aren't that dark, that's a rendering issue) I can't UV-map the table-legs. they're completely black and when I click on them in the "UV face select"-mode my texture is gone in the other window. anyone an idea ? the whole table is one object !
  17. I hope the size isn't too small or too big. it's about 250x125x100 in blender...
  18. Hey, this modelling stuff isn't that hard to learn Here's the result of about 2 hours work - a small coffee table, that'll fit into our victorian mansion style:
  19. I think we've to tweak the normalmap so that it fits better to the UVmap. BTW I'm currently working on my 2nd object a simple table....
  20. I'm no professional user, so the "trial-version" is good enough for me. I dunno, what's the difference to the full version.
  21. ok, finished it. I'm going to upload the blender file and the skin now.
  22. nah, it doesn't look good. the top and the sides don't fit together, because of the colour. there's still a lot of work to do. edit: give me a few hours. I'll upload it tonight. (still have to do some RL stuff this afternoon)
