A Little Help- How to switch mouse to left handed?

Have looked at some files but had the same problem in Doom 3 (got most fixed for T3 via editing files), how to make mouse buttons (all menus, games, etc) left handed?

One would think that games would use system settings for this (damn important, but 'trivial' for righty developers I suppose) but...........

Thanks for any help!

PS: Have game play set but all the others are right handed.

I think quite a few mouse-vendors allow custom mouse-button assignments using the Control-Panel->Mouse Settings Panel, which would then work the same for every program you use, but i guess you looked into that already :).

I suspect, but do not know, that it would not work simply because the game must 'honor' your settings versus ignoring them as many games do. I bet it is very simple to use the system settings but poor or insensitive game programmers ignore doing it. Only the obstinate apps do not use system settings anyhow. (ie - Thief 1,2 are fine but T3 is a POS about this)

I suspect they do not want to map their 'WE HAVE CHOSEN' keys/mouse use to the system settings or adapt 'help' instructions in game to the actual keys users are using, TBH! Yet again an indication of poor, lazy, overworked, under supervised or arrogant programmers. I used to be a s/w designer so I know that many of us are/were all of those things!

I suspect those that were responsible for this in Doom 3 are now management, you know like pointy head in Dilbert! :D

Thanks for suggestion!

Honestly, I think most people just overlook it. Or they see the ROI as low since you can switch the mouse buttons in the config anyway (except in the menu of course, but hey, deal with it ;) ).

My games | Public Service Announcement: TDM is not set in the Thief universe. The city in which it takes place is not the City from Thief. The player character is not called Garrett. Any person who contradicts these facts will be subjected to disapproving stares.

The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!
