  1. I was just following the description, is this link the most recent information concerning necromancers? http://forums.thedarkmod.com/index.php?showtopic=2089

    Inventors

Some Concepts for the Inventors Guild.
  3. First Concept related to the Necromancer Faction.
  4. I'll be gone until monday next week, but give me descriptions on room counts or just how large you want the houses and i'll come up with some floor plans.
  5. I'm using photo-erase blue pencils and 2h Pencils to layout the basic lines and shapes. I then go over them with micron pens sizes .2mm - .5mm. But i'm also starting to fall back into traditional pencil sketching (as with these drawings) which is much faster and more fun in my opinion.
  6. k, i'll check out that website as well as the official sites of the thief series
  7. I could do some character concepts, I'm dying to do drawings other than environments! Is there a list of characters that need concepts anywhere? -Kevin
  8. Whats DoomED? To Napalm: I've looked up images of individual houses etc, as well as the references that Springheel posted, but the environments are from my imagination. I lay in basic shapes and usually center the drawings around an idea before I start, whether it's a street corner, a river or sloping hill as can be seen in the most recent two drawings. If you guys have any particular features you'd like me to incorporate into the drawings, such as special road intersections or entrances to important buildings that are necessary for the city layout, just let me know, for its much easier to conceptualize these environments when you have various ideas to base the drawing upon. -Kevin
  9. A couple more of city streets. The first one was a quicker pencil study (which was a HELL of a lot easier, and more fun ).
  10. lol, oh. Yeah thats about 20 feet too deep then. I'll think up some more.

    The Slough

First concept piece for The Slough. The platform at the bottom of the drawing is a roof top with shingles showing on the left side.
  12. Hey what username and pass do I use to access the ftp?
  13. Heres another city streets concept with a quick lighting study. Also: Does anyone know why I can't upload images to the forums? I have to link all of these to my own webspace to show them, which is fine, but I will run out of space someday.
  14. Ah, yeah, I'll try to incorporate steam punk elements in the city sketches from now on.
  15. Edit: I had to upload these again, my old server wasn't working. I have to get moving on working the FTP again. I'll get working on those floorplans as well.

    I'm Back

Dram, what are the key rooms that need to be designed? I know bathrooms, and bedrooms are necessary, but could you outline what parts of the mansion are finished and what parts of the mansion require designing? Thanks.

    I'm Back

Christ. I apologize for being gone SO long. School has been absolute hell with the AP exams coming up, and my parents forcing SAT studying on me. Research papers have been abundant and i havn't had enough free time to sit down to work. Anyway, I've started to gain more time in the evenings, so could someone direct me to any assignments that need to be fulfilled? I'll start brainstorming ideas through 1st and 3rd period (History and Spanish) lol. Thanks guys, -Kevin M.

    Torches

Nice work, the top seems to look too heavy (kind of looks like a mace) I'd shrink it down even more, but good work otherwise.

    Torches

I think this one has a metal basin on top though, so its able to be lit again and again.

    Torches

awesome work! Just one comment though, the handle looks a little thick, it kind of reminds me of a caveman bashing stick. But nice work otherwise, the details are great.
  21. I don't mean initial height I mean initial PRESENCE! lol. words can not do St. Peters justice.
  22. amazingly cool bells. We should have a room with one of those giant bells ringing at different intervals during a mission, it could pose as a danger to the thief, or possibly a trap for an unsuspecting guard that happened to follow our thief.
  23. Yeah a beautiful cathedral, if you think thats incredible, check out st. peters basilica in google image search. The pillars alone are like 200 hundred feet in the air
  24. We should make a master list of as many textures as we think we'll need. Then we could all choose things to look up in our spare time i guess.
  25. I decided to browse the web a little, heres some images that will hopefully be useful. Posts: http://www.madriverwoodworks.com/catalog/images/cat11.jpg http://www.madriverwoodworks.com/catalog/catalog10.html Stair Posts: http://www.cwstairs.com/gallery-stairparts.htm Hand Rails:(Cross-sections) http://www.madriverwoodworks.com/catalog/catalog07.html Brackets: http://www.madriverwoodworks.com/catalog/catalog14.html Corbels: http://www.madriverwoodworks.com/catalog/catalog16.html Roof/post point designs: http://www.madriverwoodworks.com/catalog/catalog05.html Tons of Victorian Architectural Elements: http://www.aandmvictorian.com/ Im not good enough to draw a room incorporating all these aspects of victorian architecture each time, so maybe we can use some of these things to place in the various room layouts. Just a bunch of references I think will be useful for the mansion level.
