  1. Usually it's the other way around - explosions from my nether regions cause (bad) vibrations By the way, I guess this wasn't supposed to happen? See image (spoiler!): http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=196506161
  2. Thanks for the replies guys. The only major drawback with this is the inability to do a proper running jump, so I have to resort to the keyboard for those ultra-rare occasions when it's needed. I am still trying to think of a way to solve it elegantly, maybe a newer version of Xpadder will allow some kind of double-press feature. I wish map-makers did not rely on run-jump, it's not a very Thief thing to do anyway @vvGarrettvv - yeah that would be awesome, not sure how much controller support the Doom 3 engine has natively though, and it would be a b*tch for devs to figure out proper default controls to satisfy everyone's play style. cheers, Shad
  3. Thanks for the input guys, and yeah I know about the arrows - but they break when they don't attach so there's a lot of trial and error. Gets better with experience I guess. And I did manage to get on the balconies: So - I guess I am not an acrobat, what does that make me? I have gotten far now - been scared the sh*t out of a couple times, loving it Never did understand why fire-arrows kill ghosts, but hey it's helpful Thanks for an awesome map.
  4. Been playing this the late few evenings - really enjoying it so far, there are so many places to go, although some of them are hard to get to for a nub like me I understand it's *huge* from quickly browsing through this thread (without looking at too many spoilers lol), so looking forward to what is to come. A couple of minor criticisms though: And a couple question; I'm a total nub, so I guess this one will be a challenge for me
  5. Hey! With the Thief series the slow pace make them perfect games to play on the big screen with a controller, However TDM has a lot of keys to set up (like the original Thief) so mapping all the keys to a controller is a challenge and requires some compromises to be made. I've been playing with a Xbox360 controller for a while now, and think I have a good setup for TDM, with all or most of the functions mapped. For those interested, I thought I'd share it here, and ask for any input you guys have on what could be improved. There certainly are some missions where running jump is a necessity at some places.
  6. Yeah, cheers for the torrent - someone should do a Gameupdates.org torrent, since they have dedicated seeders there. I might do one, but on the other hand there are plenty seeds for the others at the moment at least
  7. Hey Serpentine, thanks for having a look Here's the save file: http://www.gamefront...6/savegames.zip And another one I just got: http://www.gamefront.com/files/23778582/savegames.zip The size is only about 350k while a regular save is about 2 megs, so definitely it's been truncated somehow. Maybe the place where the file is stopped is a clue to what caused the crash and corrupt save. The place it's happened has been the same twice now. In Alberic's Curse, in the gallery in the church, just next to the altar; http://imgur.com/ExQXmWr Not been able to reproduce it after the last crash I had.
  8. Yeah, I had the same problem last night playing Alberic's Curse. I do use quicksave a lot, so I guess I have to try to use regular saves more often to avoid this until a solution is found. If we attach the corrupted saves, is there not a way the devs can have a look see what causes the crash?
  9. I just have to chip in here - a huge THANK YOU for the modders and creators of TDM! Having been a long time fan of the Thief series, I had heard a lot about TDM, but never got around to getting Doom 3, and generally skeptical of mods. But this is so good now - I love the setting, the darkness of it, and the fact it's Thief with a lot of improvements, not just graphics-wise. Love the mission downloader too, very flexible and open system. Seriously, you guys should go for Steam and maybe even getting some $$$ for it - I know I'd pay for quality like this. ... even if my first post was a bug lol, but at least it's free Thanks guys!
  10. Yeah, same here... got this just now and have to restart the mission For reference, it's a book lying on the floor in a bedroom, the one right and straight down the corridor once you get out of the crypts. EDIT: It's not just this book, it's basically all books lying around this area. Do a quicksave before picking any books up. There are a couple laying open that look like they are meant for reading but they also bug. (post-processed, I don't really play with such high gamma lol)
