  1. I've just replayed Volta And The Stone and it was as fun and adventurous as the first time around. I did get stuck climbing over a fence and had to reload but other than that, it was a smooth experience. On to Volta 2.
  2. It does and thank you for these missions. I look forward to playing them again. With Volta2 I can keep the old version in my inventory in order to reference the secrets, even though I can't load them in ver 2.06 of Dark Mod.
  3. I can't sem to find ver2 of Volta:The Stone. Below are the copied mission details Mission Details Title Volta 1: The Stone Released 2016-05-27 Version 2 Author(s) Kingsal Mission Type Single Mission Size 102 MB Description Volta and the Stone is a fairly large Thief-style mission (Lord Bafford's Manor). It is the first mission of a campaign that follows the Thief and his encounter with an archaic and powerful force. The campaign will span from robbing noble houses to being hunted by malevolent creatures from beyond the Veil. The emphasis is on creating a mood and tone that will hopefully feel familiar to fans of The Dark Mod and the original Thief games. Is 1.1 really ver2 ?
  4. I may have found your easter egg, but I am still 300 short of loot total (3250/3550). And I looked everywhere for the 300 missing. I even resorted to noclip mode and wandered around. The Glasses I found legitimately though.
  5. Great mission. I love mansions that are warm and "lived in", yet maze like. It definitely presents itself as an adventure. Having guards turn on the lights you turn off has always been a laugh for me. I use it to map their patrol routine. The spider robot thingy at the beginning, however, looked discordant, like it didn't belong. I guess it's an homage to the mechanicals of Thief 2, which always stressed me out. There are a few other missions with these buggers, but so far, they seem to be benign. They just squeal a high pitched alarm but don't attack. Playing this mission, about half way through, I heard it's alarm sound from inside the mansion and had to get out on the third floor balcony to investigate. It wouldn't shut up so I doused it with a water arrow. It seemed confused, stopped squealing, then resumed its patrol , all quiet like. Nice dedication at the end.
  6. Glasses in Rafter In Annabelle's bedroom up on the rafters, there are some glasses (see attached pic). I was sure that would be a secret, but it wasn't. So why is it there? I'm probably missing an additional Objective that wasn't triggered because I missed reading some text somewhere.
  7. Thanks Destined & grayman. I remembered that it was a console command, but forgot how to bring down the console. Destined's link showed me the way.
  8. I actually used noclip a while back but forgot how to engage it. Mind you, I was playing in ver 2.04. Can somebody remind me what to do ?
  9. Loot List My first go around was Assassin, which was pretty straight forward and can be finished quickly enough. But I took time to explore the area. I must have missed something BIG, either a considerable stash of gold / jewels, etc. or a huge area of the map. I only found 1870 / 5515. My question would be, is the loot total the same for Thief & Saboteur and is it all in the same place. Also, is there a loot list circulating around ? I just completed THIEF and I noticed loot total was still 5515. This time however, I only got 1490 in loot Could it be the 3 loot bags you pick up in the vault can go towards the 5515 ? I doubt it, but I don't have an idea where else to look. It could be 1 HUGE valued loot item I somehow missed, probably down in the sewers which branch off many times and impossible to complete without running out of breath.
  10. Map Showing Entrance To Great Hall I can't find this map. It must be somewhere before The Great Hall Of The Ancients because it makes no sense to place it within the Great Hall. I DID come across an unfrobable map on the long table in the library room within the Great Hall, but that can't be it since I can't pick it up. I have the Sewer Map and the 2 Floor Maps in my inventory. Neither can be "placed" so Sewell can find them. So it has to be a different map somewhere. Also, I knocked out Sewell a while back, so he will never find the map until/unless he regains consciousness. Does that negate the objective ticking off regardless on whether I find the map and drop it where he would find it.
  11. Seeing as you only have 1 post so far, I'm curious as to whether you are still around after all these months. If Heart Of Lone Salvation is "the best fan mission I have ever played", do you mean only the Dark Mod missions or are you including the hundreds of Thief 1,2,3 fan missions out there. Or maybe you're including fan missions from other games not Thief. That's pretty hefty praise and I'm not disparaging HLS at all, it's awesome!
  12. I noticed that you used "Custom" sounds. This comes from a fan mission web page under EFX Reverb. Maybe something is going on there. http://wiki.thedarkmod.com/index.php?title=Fan_Missions_for_The_Dark_Mod
  13. Loved the mission. I only got 3/7 secrets on my own though. The ones I didn't get were "nicely done" and, typical of secret hunts, make you explore every corner of the map. Looking forward to the next installment. One last note on the problem I encountered wrt Garrett's Ledger......The crash appeared to happen at the end of the sound/music that accompanies completion of the task at hand. Could be a coincidence but it sounded jerky or raspy, choppy, then whoosh....crash to desktop.
  14. The Second Contract I had no problem with. But I had already read it. When it came time to frob the Cask I HAD to have the Sleeping Potion selected. So it looks like my issue was particular to the Contract of changing the ledger. I MUST of read that Contract prior to the crash otherwise I would have no idea to go to Garrett's Shop. Strange.
  15. TDM version = 2.06 / 64 I had finished the core of the mission objectives and set about completing my "secrets" hunt including completing 2 missions I picked up at Finkel's Shop. The first contract involved Garrett's Print Shop, so I went over there and lock picked my way in. Snuffed out some candles and read some stuff on the counter. Found the ledger on the shelf and frobbed it. Scribble noises indicated I was completing my task. But soon after the Completion Window popped up, the game crashed to desktop. Started TDM again and repeated the sequence, thinking it was a once-only problem, but same thing happened. Next time I quick saved after entering Garrett's Shop then went straight to the ledger without snuffing candles or reading the counter book. Crashed again. I tried a couple more times and was about to inquire here about my problem when I thought maybe I have to "initiate" the contract in order for it to work. So instead of having the lock picks selected, the Contract was selected. IT WORKED !! So out of, maybe, 5 or so attempts, the ONLY time the game didn't crash was when I had the Contract selected. No one else has experienced this ??
  16. Contract: These Numbers.... I guess I forgot how to complete these contracts properly, or is this a bug?
  17. Precautionary Note When you get to the courtyard of Thurgood Manor and want to dispose of one of the guards patrolling, DON'T carry them into the Sewer? Maintenance tunnel. I jumped in carrying a guard and can't get out !! The tunnel is too tight to drop him, and I can't hoist myself back out, either at the starting point or the end point (Wine Cellar?).
  18. Just wanted to say I've finished the mission and didn't have any other problems. Mind you, picking up lock picks only happens once per mission.
  19. For me that picture is like trying to find Waldo, but I take your word for it LOL I think I can see the outline of the scroll, but at first I thought IT represented the lockpicks.
  20. This is my first mission playing with DM ver 2.06. I Think the mission ver is 1. I specifically scoured the floor for the lockpick thinking it may have fallen to the floor and my brightness level was such that it wasn't super dark. In any event, nothing "lit up" designating a frobbable object. So the word "invisible" seemed appropriate I'm still playing this mission and haven't had the opportunity to see if other missions have similar issues. It would be very easy for others to confirm whether the issue is with the mission or something to do with my setup specifically. It's right at the beginning where you climb down to the basement to retrieve your stuff. The table is supposed to contain 2 lockpicks among other items. For me the Triangle Lockpick wasn't there. Eventually, I picked it up by constantly clicking on the table, under the table and the immediate surroundings, until it registered. Never did see it.
  21. I don't know if that question was directed to me or to everyone. My experience as far as problems were concerned with 2.05 was unfrobbable loot. I don't recall coming across invisible items.
  22. Does that mean I can look forward to more cases of Invisible Lock Picks ? Has this issue arisen elsewhere ? I've only just now returned to the game and this is my first time playing Dark Mod ver 2.06
  23. That could be....but I couldn't see it. Doesn't matter I guess because now I can go ahead in the mission as I finally grabbed it.
  24. Tried that But I finally got the Triangle Lockpick even though I couldn't see it. I frantically right clicked all over the table until it suddenly showed up in my inventory. Could this "invisibility" have something to do with the version of Dark Mod (2.06/64) and the version of the mission (ver 1) ?
