I'm about two seconds from taking my $150 Blu-ray drive outside and introducing it to a bat. The thing produces nothing but coasters on both Windows and Linux. If I do, I will record it.

  Something to place a cup so it doesn't accidently stain a table.

  Although using an optical disk wouldn't really prevent staining, due to the hole in the center. Its just an old, OLD saying for disks that do not burn successfully.
