If I create a new skin in the skin editor it creates a new skin with name new_skin . When I try to edit the name DR immediately crashes.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong? But it should not crash at least.
Using DR 3.7.0 under Linux

Well for example you could use it in a mission you make to warn players not to use noclip.
QuoteWARNING: Don't you dare to use NOCLIP, you cheater!!
But yeah the use cases are slim..
-
Is there a fix for this warning message?
Off-topic: Is it possible to show fake warning messages in a mission? Could be cool as easter eggs or something.

Do we have a free weapon arrow slot on the number keys?
If you use this, you won't use the flashbomb.
@MirceaKitsune I think it will only be included if there's a need for it. Maybe it's a good idea to include it in your own missions. So people get a taste for it, I think that is the route for inclusion. You could start by adding it to your released mission as an update.

I think flash arrows would be more useful in TDM than flashbombs. I would probably use them more during gameplay than using flashbombs, because I know better how to use them.

I use the Linux 3.7.0 flatpack version, but I cannot reproduce the issue. If I press L the light inspector appears. No crash
Edit: Although the material preview doesn't show. It does show up when the light inspector is docked (after DR restart).

In plain sight came out in August. Pretty good mission I say.
Also, 2.11 includes a new EFX version of Saint Lucia. You can install the beta to test it out.
-
I am a bit puzzled why you post about the beta testing. Logically one of the makers would create this thread. So in this case Amadeus or Dragofer.

Are you sure you use the right orb?

I never tested this, but yeah the effect of the noise arrow should not be affected by the AI hearing.

Here is a list of mission series:
https://wiki.thedarkmod.com/index.php?title=Fan_Mission_Series
There you can also see the order, which is important because they're not always in that order in the download missions screen.
As you can see Requiem goes before A House of Locked Secrets

Cool! Are these screenshots taken with 2.10? Because it could be that I see some dithering pattern in screenshot 3.

At work I use Windows and there I'm irritated of not having tabs in an explorer window (like most standard Linux file browsers). For the rest I'm fine with the Windows Explorer, I don't want to learn to like another program.. But recently I found QTTabbar. It is a program that adds a tabbar (and some other extra's that I haven't looked into yet) to the existing Windows explorer. If you install it and it doesn't automatically activates, you might have to enable it in Options:
Middle mouse click on folder opens it in new tab by default.
I know Windows 11 adds it. Windows is always late with useful features..

Quick workaround for Windows (only tested in W10):
You can press the SHIFT-key 5 times to enable sticky keys.
- Pressing the-creep-key 1 time enables creep toggle.
- Pressing the-creep-key 3 times disables creep toggle.

GOG has a nice freebie today: https://www.gog.com/de/game/broken_sword_directors_cut
I added mine, but I think I already had it, because it's now added as a gift, but is not added to my account, so possibly I can gift it to someone else later by changing the e-mail address..

Were you doing horror themed too?
hm? Who are you talking to?
Here you can find the latest version of DR: https://www.darkradiant.net/ . Install it and see if it runs. If you run into problems you can check if you need special drivers or whatever, but I don't think so.
You can buy a hdd-dock to connect your old harddrives.

The one I've wanted to build for decades (meant for T2) is quite elaborate, but maybe I should just start with one that works (with flowing water, that's where it crashed for me, in TDM lol)
Maybe you can make a smaller version and update it later in a future v2. Or in a sequal. I personally haven't started because of a lack of clear idea of a story and location (I have some rough ideas). Currently I also started an online course (GDScript), so don't have time for it anyway.

No it's not possible yet. You can set toggling for crouch and lean under "General". This is in 2.11 #10208

What do you mean by that?

I think people should maybe play the original before the directors cut though. The Directors Cut adds more content, but it is bad for the flow of the story. The original is included (in the gog buy at least).

The player is actually tossing the body
If the player tosses the body face-up, how can it end up face-down? Especially during the swap it might look unrealistic.
Edit:

I don't see a retro-aesthetics-charm in TDM, so I don't know what you mean by that.
I think that almost everything that I would like to see being prettier in this game can be done without changing the engine. And like Hmart said, the engine is constantly getting upgrades. Not the same as regular AAA games where you're usually stuck with an engine state.
