I think the interaction glsl files might have a similar check in them, maybe you'll run into the next file - you can try to do the same change there.
Indeed I get another crash with interaction_vp.glsl , I'll try what you suggest . Some of these files have other requirements like 120 or 130.
Edit:
I get another error (I mean in the log after a crash):
(140503713831552) [renderer] Creating GLSL shadowmap program (140503713831552) Unhandled Exception: Failed to compile GLSL shader "shadowmap_vp.glsl": (140503713831552) 0:63(43): error: `gl_InstanceID' undeclared (140503713831552) 0:65(68): error: `gl_InstanceID' undeclared (140503713831552) 0:65(52): error: operands to arithmetic operators must be numeric (140503713831552) 0:65(18): error: operands to arithmetic operators must be numeric (140503713831552) (140503713831552) SIGSEGV signal caught: 11
gl_InstanceID is apparently not supported in GLSL 1.3 :

Congratulations!
I just want to note that the quoted text on top of your post is black on a very dark background on the forum's dark theme. So I can't read it. Possibly it still has styling because it is copy pasted? It should be white on dark grey.

I thought an overdrive should fix the ghosting. I specifacilly checked for that when I bought the Eizo.

so I ordered a new one.
You should have checked some reviews. There are very in depth reviews which test those issues, so it's not so difficult to get a good working va or ips screen.
I'm using an iiyama amva monitor and aside an Eizo s-pva monitor. I expected an improvement in contrast from the iiyama over the Eizo, be CD ause it's a newer model. But I can't see it. So I sometimes wonder if I should have bought an Eizo ips screen instead

Besides, this should come with some kind of load restriction because, what's preventing you from reloading and reloading again till you get the advantage you are after?
Sorry I forgot about the global part. But I thought there is already a lot of talk about non-global stuff in this topic.
You just make a rule to not load the area that you are in.

can you think of other creative / challenging / fun modes?
When loading, you get loaded into a different area. So if you load a lot you have to do the mission in a less linair way.
Another way at this is that when loading, certain things change. So it's like you write a new story.
@devs: why are there only 3 possible difficulty levels available per mission in TDM?

Maybe they aren't meant that way, but less saves = restriction

For example, you don't have a huge list named "GL_EXTENSIONS", which lists all the functions of your graphics card.
I skipped a whole section of loaded modules etc.

You can see that the water isn't visible through the warp glass, nor is the rainsplash. The rain itself is visible through all of them though.
For what it's worth, I tested and this is what I see as well.

In mission Who watches the watcher by @DeTeEff there is quite a diference in how alife the city is in different dificulties. In mission Hazard Pay the Expert setting has a different (room) save system.

You at least get a reason for the compilation failure in your error message. It would be worth updating the bug report with your DR log file.
I'm going to do that, I should probably have giving more info.
The gpu is an Intel hd 3000. Maybe it's just too old and lacking? I can live with that, then I just have to accept that DR cannot be used on the laptop. But I would like to know if that is the reason at least.

Your material editor is looking a little dark there, but that's probably just some kind of a dark mode skin.
Indeed, In Linux it shows up light or dark depending on which system theme you use.

Now testing 3.0 . When I am in free camera mode (right mouse button in Camera view), I can't zoom in and out with mouse wheel scroll, keyboard arrows do still work. Is that normal? This was possible previously.
Also when I select a face instead of a whole block, I used to see a blue dot in the middle. Now that is gone.
Or are these just settings?

Question:
I was wondering if installation with Flatpak is something that is considered for the future.
Motivation:
I recently installed Linux Mint on my laptop and found installing DR 3.0 relatively easy (ppa), so I was thinking about figuring out how to create a package for Manjaro (which I use on my main pc), but then I thought about Flatpak. Isn't that the way forward for if you want to support multiple distro's but don't have a large group of interested Linux maintainers? Currently it is:
- Debian: There is a maintained package,
- Ubuntu: There's a ppa
- All other distro's: built from source
While with Flatpak it seems you just need one way of installation for all distro's. I could be wrong though.

I would say set defaults both to forgiving and lockpicking to trainer. When you just learned lockpicking in the trainer mission, it makes sense to have it start at that level.
Personally I have set both Ai hearing and Ai vision to chalenging (I'm tempting to increase it further), but lockpicking to trainer lever, because I don't like that minigame much (I mean it gets old over time).

That claim link doesn't work

Why not?
I didn't check your last video, so maybe I missed something.

If I remember correctly I found it in texturelab easier if I wanted to use an existing texture to add normal and specular onto, although I still find it dificult to get the right look.

Activating the Camera mode "Render in lighting preview mode" also gives me such a crash, but nothing to see about it in the log.
