Interesting what one can find on youtube. I fear it will get deleted all sooner or later, so lets enjoy it while we can. Lots of interesting old movies.

You can. These movies from the 60s and earlier can usually stay up longer, especially if they're not getting many views. I know some still around from 2006. But in this case I didn't find it just searching YouTube. Would you believe I was researching non-traditional plot constructions and it was at the top of the list... Now why would I do something like that?

What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.

I watched "Red Heat" on YT, a movie from 1988, the first one where the west was allowed to film on the Red Place in Moskow. It's almost historic :)

@Tels: don't know where you're living, but in Dresden there is for example a videothek called Phase IV where the have a lot of old movies (especially Sci-Fi and horror)

I guess something like that exists in every bigger city :smile:

You can find a lot, especially older stuff, but often, what you find is in a really, really bad quality. Heavily damaged image, wrong projection speed, generic music and so forth. You can get lucky (at this moment, the entire Fantômas series and Judex are up there from recent DVD releases), but it can be misleading.

      The FAQ wiki is almost a proper FAQ now. Probably need to spin-off a bunch of the "remedies" for playing older TDM versions into their own article.

      Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

      i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
      tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

      Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.
