Fingernail 59
Person(s) who can generate decent normalmap textures given a diffuse texture and possibly a bump/heightmap texture. This is not particularly demanding or artistic work, so if you don't have much time to contribute but would still like to help us, then we want to farm out some of these textures to you, to get them done faster. However, be aware that we want people to do this who can tell if the result is good; otherwise we could just write a batch process using a crappy 2D filter with variable results. We recently aquired over 3 Gb of textures, and now we need to get them normalmapped. Potential/necessary tools:Photoshop/GIMP with normalmap plugin from NVidia;A 3D modelling program;Doom 3. OrbWeaver 664
I don't mind helping out with this. As you say it's not particularly glamourous, but if it needs to be done and it's all valuable experience... I have GIMP, Blender and D3.
