Anyone know what TDM FM this is? (screenshot)

In either case may I have a list of wanted models so I can start working on them?

Since we already have essential models, there isn't a specific list like that (that I know of), aside from the kinds of things Spring just mentioned. My advice is to do an image search of medieval scenes and pick out objects or architecture details that look good to you that you think would be a good fit, and just play the game and think about what could be added. Also, almost as important is making sure you maintain your motivation to keep working. So work on things you're happy working on.

One thing to keep in mind is, just because you make something doesn't guarantee it'll get in the mod. There are a lot of factors that go into what gets in, including quality, what it adds over what's already in, size management, etc. Anyway, it's not automatic; there's a discussion that happens AFAIK. But even if they don't get in the mod, it's still good to have a repository of objects for mappers to use themselves (mappers can use models not in the mod for their own FMs), and of course you build your skills and get better over time, and you can get feedback as you post your progress so can tailor your work to what's appropriate as you go. So it's not wasted work.

Or to answer you more helpfully, just post some ideas you have and screenshots and get feedback.

Edit: Also, you really should go through Fidcal's tutorial for making a FM, if not even make a small FM. I think you may need to know basic things about mapping to make appropriate models, like how func_stats, patches, and brushes all relate to one another when you're mapping, and what kinds of limits there are like Nbhor was talking about.

What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.

Without wanting to sound belligerent or something, but it's 6 am, I haven't slept and I'm full of caffeine :), I don't care...

What I mean is... I do it for all the reasons you mentioned above. To help how I can, to improve my skills and my knowledge, even to make specific things instead of stuff simply as I imagine them and then scrapping them and starting over and over again. If people here believe they should be in the mod so even better, I won't have to pay attention if someone asks me to mail a model to him :) I hope I managed to clarify that bit for now.

As for following the tutorial, I plan to, but I always find myself finding reason to postpone it. Thing is I'm used to work in Unreal and DR is completelly different. Not simply in the interface but in the basic principles that each engine runs. And I'm afraid of changes like that. That said, I know I have to eventually do it. I can't be of much help if I don't know how the engine works. I need to know how it works in order to create stuff for it.

And lastly, the reason I asked for such a list (as I have done before) is not so I create the stuff so they get in the engine. I mostly intended to use them as a guideline. I have a big problem of being unable to focus on a project, and such a list would really help me in that department. Mostly like, having other people keeping me on track, something I can't do it for myself. Well... Not that bad but I think you understand what I'm trying to say. It's totally different to get a list of ideas to help with than googling "Dark victorian art" images for ideas ending up with a crapton of chicks in black and white paint with leather boots and black jackets looking at you like they want to eat your brains. Usually I simply end up scratching my head thinking that the world is way more insane than I hoped it was. And then I loose any motivation I may had for art.

Sometimes I want to scream

So long that life escapes

And then I'd shut my eyes

I'd be the angel of disgrace

Well you could start with the things Spring mentioned, door and window frames, and similar things would be arches, pillars, arcades, vaulting, decorative siding, etc. You could image search something like "medieval facade" and practically anything that sticks out from the wall or isn't a plain box is worth modeling. We have little variety with architectural func_stats, so almost anything you make could be a contribution. Well that's my advice; best I can think of next to an actual list.

What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.

Was checking out old translation packs and decided to fire up TDM 1.07. Rightful Property with sub-20 FPS areas yay! ( same areas run at 180FPS with cranked eye candy on 2.12 )

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.
