  1. I've been tinkering with sounds here and there and I noticed that tile floors don't get louder when running. I've always thought it was strange that tile was so quiet, and this is likely one reason why. I'm not sure if this is intended, but I've made a video showing it by changing stone and tile to the same sounds.

  2. Sure, but if there are games that are free only if you get them within the next few days, that should be noted so others can jump on it immediately. Even if it's only to add them to your account without installing.

  3. I'm not really talking about the sound files and more about something in the game isn't making tile floors increase volume when being run on, which is why I set stone and tile to the same sounds to show it off. The sounds get louder when I run on the stone, but don't when I run on the tile.

  4. I actually like those new sounds. They seem detailed and realistic, and sound like you are actually walking around on real surfaces with fairly heavy boots. The only one which doesn't work for me is the stone jumping — to me it sounds more like a kitchen cabinet being shut rather than an actual jump, and seems to have no consistency with the stone walking footsteps (which are very good).

  5. Nothing against to post always free games, I think. On Steam there are a lot of free games, but a lot of them are not really free, being either extremely short, they are just prologues to a series that later costs a kidney and a half or simple demos. I think this is why there is nothing against posting free games that are worthwhile, offering a good time of gameplay. What's more, in the past I have come across a Demo, 'Will Rock', which I loved, because it was relatively long and with an action that didn't stop. That is why I later bought the entire game and was completely disappointed, nothing to do with the demo. Sort of like watching a longer trailer for a movie, then realizing at the cinema that what you've seen in the trailer were the only interesting scenes in the entire movie. The Will Rock demo is always there https://www.gamepressure.com/download.asp?ID=2758 ,

  8. New HUD design based on the Luma / Luminos panels and icons from Xonotic. It's far from perfect but it will do for a while. The icon at the top is my replacement of choice for the lightgem, which uses a more accurate material compared to vanilla (indicates all light-levels)... above it are the health and oxygen indicator bars, they're hidden when unneeded (0% / 100%) and only shown here as a test.

  9. So I have this gigantic scorpion, it is made out of pendulums bound together. I had an idea about dragging whole thing through a piled up crates (pretending to be stone blocks in a wall), but it looks like movable crate physics override pendulum/bobbing impulses, and animation is interrupted at impact. Any ideas how to make it smash through wall, using realtime physics?
