Its's the look she's mainly complaining about...well and the clunkyness (that gets better by the time, of course ). These people are used to play this old game called thief. I don't think they really appreciate this shiny new look. By the way: Thief is a very humorous game after all, listen to the voices. I do think here's a gap between Thief and TDM. What about a poll on ttlg.com? You could learn something about the ttlg.com members.

Stuck in the Past? Maybe. Recently, I asked a friend of mine (she's an old thief fan who played T1/T2 FMs for years), why she wouldn't play any TDM-FMs. She said, she tried to play it, but TDM-FMs were just like TDS-FMs, so she doesn't like it. This is not exactly what I'm thinking about TDM, but similar to that. Perhaps a lot of people on ttlg.com (the old fashioned thief fans) have got the same feeling about TDM. Take this into consideration. A poll on ttlg.com would help to answer that question.

No, it doesn't work. I put it into an old TDM (1.02)-folder. Is this okay? New Horizon, I've tested the file you gave to me. I got the same error message (couldn't load game dynamic library) . I'm currently downloading the torrent to make sure I have all the files from 1.03 and try it again.

I do have WinXP (you didn't even read that post, did you?). But I don't like it. Win2k is much faster concerning loading times in DarkMod than XP.

I don't like the footstep sound that much. I prefer something that sounds more like T1/TG (as well as the movements, which could be easier, softer, just not like a cowboy). At the moment, it reminds me of T3 (that I don't like at all). Sorry for the rant.

Hopefully the "walking-on-high-heels-feeling" gets better. I often think one is walking on pretty clumsy spike heels.

Eine Idee: Die "Builders" sehen sich in der eigenen Wahrnehmung natürlich postiv, also wie " Die Erbauer" oder "Die Meister", in der Wahrnehmung dritter vielleicht nicht ganz so (z. B. als dominater Schlägertrupp, die man etwa Wemmser nennen könnte). Bei den Hammeriten war die Sache einfach, im Namen schwingt sowieso behämmertes mit; die waren ihre eigene Karrikatur. Mir ist der Ursprung des Wemmsers/Wemsers auch nicht geläufig. Wie auch beim Hammer sind Wortbedeutungen wohl vielfältig. Meistens kommt irgendwas mit herumkloppen/herumprügeln vor, wie hier http://de.wikipedia..../Sprache#Wemser Das würde eher zu den etwas rohen Hammeriten passen, weniger zu "Builders". Insofern passt es eben nicht.

Noch was zu den Wemmsern: Ich hatte den Vorschlag gemacht, weil "Wemmser" ein Synonym zu Hammer ist (also Wemmser eher als Pendant zu den Hammeriten aus Thief gedacht war). Ich bin mir jetzt nicht klar, ob das mit den "Builders" in TDM übereinstimmt.

Besser wären 3 Einzelthreads, es sollen ja auch 3 Begriffe geklärt werden. Zuvor sollte man sich der Optionen für die Umfrage gewiß sein, weil man die Umfrage auf ttlg.de nachträglich nicht mehr ändern kann.
