I think the problem are light sources because the game is running smoothly but the frame rate slows down when candles or torches appear until they are doused.

Loading screen looks a bit different.

Nope, I'm sure it's ReturnToTheCityV2.pk4 on TDM 1.03. When I try to load the fan mission "The Transaction" it displays "TDM Version Mismatch. Cannot install this mission as it requires The Dark Mod v1.04."

Post Processing is disabled. I've only updated from TDM 1.03 to TDM 1.04 and tested the aspect ratios 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10 but it doesn't help.

I've tested this fan mission with TDM 1.03 and it's running smoothly. With TDM 1.04 I get another malloc failure for 4194312. I've started a new topic Problems with The Dark Mod 1.04

Looks like somebody added hardware eating components in TDM 1.04. I've tested some of the old missions. They're running slowly or crash. The main menu looks blurry, too. Display resolutions were TDM 1.04 @ 640x480 and TDM 1.04 @ 1280x720. It's running smoothly with TDM 1.03 @ 1024x768. System Configuration: AMD Athlon X2 2.8 GHz Dual-Core, 2 GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 3200, 22" (1920 x 1080), Win XP Pro with SP3. Any ideas how to solve this problem ?

What a pity ! Another Slo-Mo Mission with very few FPS. Even Return to the City v1 worked better.

The game crashes anyway.

Another great mission but it took a while to finish because the game crashed several times when I tried to save.

No orrery this time but a great cathedral. Clues in latin are annoying if you have no clue about latin but a cathedral without latin would be no cathedral.
